RK9 ex deck idea (Legend Maker)

So I was viewing the card, and this guy said electrode ex+arcanine ex, so I thought of something like this(Based off/Copied over from ZRE's decklist, as I don't really know what works for RK9):

Strategy: Similar to Zre's. except without the ascending so the energy has to go to Growlithe. More LNS as there is no basic exs. Just bomb away, lock them, and kill of the pokes.

Transceiver works so much better than Lanette's here. You can discard energy, Mentor finds all your basics + Scientist can grab Smooth Over'd cards.

Looks pretty good, I personally wouldn't use Magmar though.

A lot of Water weakness in that deck (Especially with Blastoise becoming so popular). I don't like using Electrode EX as an attacker, so I would look for a good secondary attacker like maybe HL Lanturn. And I like Mentor over LNS in this deck.

Hmm...Here's a modified decklist, currently i'm thinking of Huntail, as it can search for React energy. Also, scientist is situational, so I don't like using it. Any alternatives to Magmar, if you don't like using it, Jordan?

jordan made a great point that mentor in this case can help with discarding...curcial for bombing to arcanine.

It really depends on the situation- do note great ball cannot search for ex-es but it is fast, lannette searches different types of pokemon but witthout needing to discard, while mentor has to discard a card but can search for any type of pokemon including ex-es as long as they are at or under 100 hp so the above comment is merely a one sided opinion derived from looking at cards at their surfaces and not weighing their strength and weaknesses properly...
