Anime North! Here's a copy of the info that was sent to me:
"Saturday, May 27, 2006
toronto, Ontario Location: Toronto Congress Centre - 650 Dixon Rd., Toronto (Please note: The Gym Challenge will take place atAnime North. (http://www.animenorth.com/)This will still be a free event for players and there will be no additional cost to play.
Registration: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM, Start Time: 12:00 PM, Registration takes about 1 hour. Please arrive no later than 10:30 AM to register."
However, from what I remember from last year, you had to pay to get in to Anime North. I don't remember the exact amount since I was a judge then as well, so as a volunteer I got in free. I'm not sure how this sits with POP since it's supposed to be a free tournament, but as I get more details, I'll update this thread. I'm just surmising here, but perhaps the gym challenge will be held in a portion of the rooms available that is close to an exit so pokemon players can be separated from the rest of Anime North. Those interested in attending the rest of Anime north may need to then purchase a ticket for the rest of the convention. I'm trying to get confirmation at this time, so it's just a matter of waiting for the info to arrive.
