5 Winner Pin Produced? By PUI

OK, I just got a fun one in the mail off of e-bay, from a reputable seller known to have Rare Pokemon Items.

In my collection I bought, It had 2 winner pins. I just wanted the Groudon Decbox.

First - the Usual Winner Pin we all know and love

Second - a "5" Winner Pin that I had never seen before.

Any information on that 5 Winner Pin?

Shaped like a big black #5 with a Red/White Pokeball on it, with the offical Pokemon stamp on the back (same as the Regular Winner Pins)

Any ideas?

Your seller was a former employee who decided to sell several unreleased items, which is a totally low-class move in my book.

Yes, PUI produced a 5 winner pin some time ago. We were hoping to add functionality to the website which allowed us to track the winner of an event, and show that number along with their ratings. The intent was to send this pin out for every 5 tournaments they won. However, that functionality wsa forced onto the backburner, and has yet to be implemented.

I beleive I heard from Jarrod that some of these had been shipped to distributors, so I'm far less annoyed about her selling that pin than I am about her selling the Professor Cup deck box and two of the unreleased Battle Frontier pins.

At least none of it is considered stolen. That would have been a much bigger mess...

I could not believe the Professor Auction was allowed to go on (2006 deck box), and wasn't even sure what I was getting on the pins...until they showed up.

Glad to see these are legitimate items...

There are a few 5 winner pins circulating in the UK. I hope the LD has a few more as I have a bunch of ordinary winner pins to exchange.
