Shiftry's Feint Attack says that it isn't affected by weakness, resistance, poke-powers, poke-bodies, or any other effects on that (the targeted) pokemon.

Does Shiftry have to flip a coin before attacking a baby pokemon?

What if the other pokemon used agility (prevent all damage) prior to Shiftry's attack?

What if the other pokemon has a defender card attached?

What are the limits on Shiftry's feint attack?

Thanks!

Well, let's look at each of these questions separately:

1.> Q. Does "Feint Attack" allow you to ignore the Baby Rule?
A. No, the Baby Rule is not an "effect" on the Defending Pokemon. It is a game rule. (Jan 8, 2004 PUI Rules Team)

2.> Q. If Shiftry uses "Feint Attack" against a Pokemon that successfully used "Agility" the previous turn, would Agility prevent the Feint Attack or not?
A. No, the Feint Attack ignores any effects on the Defending Pokemon, including Agility, Wonder Guard, etc. (Jan 8, 2004 PUI Rules Team)

3.> Defender is a trainer card which reduces the amount of damage done to the Pokemon it is attached to. Feint Attack ignores anything that tries to reduce the amount of damage done, so in this situation Feint Attack overrides Defender.

4.> Limits?? Whoa, that question is too open-ended for my tastes. PASS!

Hope this helps,
