Jusr wondering if the infamous "stall and win deck" is still as strong as it used to be.....due to the next rotation....will shedinja once again reclaim its throne as the world's most "patient deck"....????

1st seed at MD states played Shedstall, as well as 1st seed at Rockville GC. Both never made it past the second round of single elimination, however. One got killed by ATM Ice and one was beat by MewTric. It is much easier to win in swiss with this deck.

Here's my (not as successful) version: http://pokegym.net/forums/showpost.php?p=572804&postcount=14

but i wanna make it from dx on...meaning using the holon engine.....thats why i question its consistency now after two rotations that are clearly taking away some much needed cards! in any case....if it really dosen't work anymore.....i'll play a fossil deck instead....

TWO WORDS, MANECTRIC DISCONNECT GG. That means that you cant play any fossils so all your left with are 4 nincadas and thats about it

I think it's somewhat notable that Shedninja stall did top 32 at U.S. Nationals.

There is the Mewtrix problem, but in reality only so many people play that deck. It has a favorable matchup against most other decks.

I will say that the deck is AMAZING in swiss because it can usually win on time. Its luck runs out in the top cuts, where the multiple games and extended time limits make it nearly impossible for Shedstall to hit time on the first game, let alone actually win a game.

I agree that this deck will die after rotation. Usually it requires that you have ways to recover your shedninjas and nincadas, so this deck could very well die from the loss of pokemon retriever.

What's this now? The guy who played Shedstall at nationals got suspended for cheating?

-Cries at the loss of the deck's credibility-

He WASN'T cheating. It was a bad call and David did not deserve the suspension.

Considering that he's accusing someone of "telling on him" (which they didn't. BDS is one heckuva sharp deck checker) I don't see how it's a bad call.

Either he thinks someone told on him because there was something to tell, or he's innocent and there's no need to worry about being "told on".

Alright, I suppose I should explain myself a bit more here. I believe it was a bad call because it should have been caught at the initial deck checks... isn't that what they're for? This problem could have easily been solved by telling him to switch to thicker sleeves.

I find no fault with the deck checkers.
It was a subtle job.
Obviously he expected to get by with it.
This was not a case of ragged or illegal sleeves.
Heck, for all I know, he changed sleeves after the deck check. No one notes what sleeves are on a deck when they do a deck check.

This deck is expected to be seen at the LCQ this year, due to its great performance in swiss (and the LCQ, unfortunately, is one the only premiere events that is swiss only).

A mirror match would be very interesting (and kind of inconvenient if your match is still tied after time is called). If you send out a Claw Fossil, shedinja can do nothing to it. So make sure you prepare for a mirror match, with ATM Ice.

What did he do?

His Deoxys holos were bent (like all Deoxys holos) and he was playing the really thin transparent sleeves. They called them marked because they could easily be picked out of the deck due to them being bent. However, I think that they could have easily told him to use thicker sleeves when they were checking the decks, and that would have solved the problem.

You were not present during my conversation with him, so you have no idea what the issue was. Best to just leave it at that.

Ya, it's pretty lame that I ended up losing to that guy just before he got the DQ =/.

Like everyone said, it's for making top cut. Anything over a half hour and the "deck" won't keep up. Mew-Tric, Atm-Ice and usualy LBS all take it out. I say usually for LBS because you can use mudslide to KO nincadas if your opponent missplays so badly that they play one while LBS is setup and don't evolve immediately via Rare Candy or Wally's Training (which I was almost able to do, except I couldn't grab a water energy at the right time).

So Shedstalls "enemies" are:

- Latias d/Latios d tech (turns off Shedinjas body and gives you a price when KO'ed)
- The ability to hit bench (hit Nincada before it's evolved)
- ATM ICE
- Disconnect
- Matches lasting longer than 30 minutes

Is that all, or is there more?

You lay down Nincada, discard fossil, and walley's all ont he same turn so there is never just a Nincada sitting there on the bench =/

Spinning Tail type attacks aren't to good because they KO all your Claw fossils in 2 hits, and your Sheds and Mysterious fossils in 3 turns. Root fossil helps against that, but not to much.

I've tested this deck longer than even the most currently proficient players of the deck, and you CANNOT last more than 45 minutes. Does anybody know how to make it last an hour? If so, some help would be great

The shuffles take about ten to fifteen seconds, and five if your opponent calls a judge on you. Play nothing but shuffle draw and search in the deck so you get more and more time off the clock.

I can't think of a better deck that'd get you dq'd for gamesmanship.
