Star wars pwns because it has a better story line and more action

I am still a trekkie too cause I am watching star Trek right now with star wars battle front on pause

Also if you don't give reasons then this will get locked

I'm going to say the unthinkable...

Both...

Star Wars because I like the idea of a "chosen one" type story...

Star Trek because it seems to be more political/military-based at times...

Not only that, but Commander Data is just awsome...

Remember to say Why or else this will be a poll.

I prefer Star Trek no question, the storylines are so varied and it doesn't just focus on the big scale battles, but on the plight of an individgual character.

Janeway FTW

Star Wars creates a more convincing mythos for itself, especially past the movies. Star Trek tries to create a perfect world, whereas Star Wars admits that people are flawed and uses that as some of their most major driving forces.

So, Star Wars.

Star Wars is so much better. It is a lot more convincing view of the far distant future.

you see people gaining magical powers in the future...OK...

I honestly see Star Trek as a possible future like senarios it is much more relistic but I like star wars more for the action and storyline that goes on through a lot of books

Marril

Star Trek is full of people who will work long and hard for no reward other than self-satisfaction. That certainly isn't very realistic.

Absoltrainer

Well it is more relistic then
people using lightsabers,
gaining telekenetic powers,
having the good guy's dad be the bad guy
shooting lighting out of your fingers
and a 2 foot tall frogling being the strongest good guy ever

The Matrix.

It requires much more thinking than Star Trek or Star Wars ever will.

about teleknetic powers can actually happen, no joke, have u ever really looked at something and it moved, it actually happened to me and I freaked out but, my family believes that it was just the wind but, also we dont use all of our brain, so there is still parts of the brain that are still unexplined, who knows people might have powers and stuff, Yoda is not the stongets good guy at all, Obi and obviously Luke is the toughest of all the good guys, but he goes bad for a while.

exactly, see powers are possible because we all know that cats are lazy and they never move so u do have to use telekinetic powers, i even had to use sith lightning to scare him off the couch, stupid kitty.

Star Trek. Storyline is better, and also, better characters than Star Wars.

You can't compare the two. Star Trek attempts to write the history of the Earth from the year 2000 onwards, while Star Wars takes place in a completely different universe.

I like both equally. DS9 and TNG are awesome series, and I <3 Lt Cmdr Data, quite possibly the best character in all of TNG and the best actor (Brent Spiner) out of the entire series.

Star Wars are excellently crafted movies (with the exception of Phantom), and one of the better animated series I've seen. Lando pwns, and I wish they'd've gone through a little more of HIS history...

Earlier, actually. The Eugenics Wars were in the late 1900s, like the 1980s or 1990s.

I've been a Star Wars fan since forever. I am not into Star Trek but I've only seen The Voyage Home, and it's funny but cool. Out of all Star Wars Movies, Attack of the Clones is the only one I never seen. Revenge of the sith and Return of the Jedi FTW!

True, very true; but when it does focus on those few epic battles, they are great. Also, I've got to go with Scotty FTW!!

Luke goes bad? Never for real, I don't read the books but Wikipedia is my favorite site and Luke's philosophy states that anger and such aren't necessarily a path to the dark side if one can control them, he also has a wife and kids... in other words his order is not of monks, hehehe.

And that spoon thing, ROFL.

Soma: I am a star wars fanatic and there are is a book which is a dark horse comic book called DARK EMIPIRE in whitch the empore is reincarnated as living force into a clone and builds the world devastaters as seen an the N-64's rouge squadren. He sucseedes in turning luke to the dark side but leah evuentual turns him back and luke duels with the empore. This book happens 4 or so years after return of the jedi as leah is pregnant with Jacen and Jania.

He gets married to a force strong bounty hunter / servant to the empore named mara jade who is also seen in the game Mysteries of the Sith fo the PC like in 2000

His kids include ben skywalker and none others however the solos have 3 kids Jania Solo and Jacen SOLO (twins) and Anikin Solo

I thought the Dark Empire stuff happened when Leia was pregnant with Anakin. Oh well.

Also, I wouldn't say they Solos have three kids... at least... not anymore...

well, i have heard a rumor about lucas making another star wars film, which has the basis of Luke going to the darkside, and also having the new sith characters but, as i heard it, Lucas is not going to direct it, i so hope that this happens.
also check this site out to see some of the new Characters in the star wars relm, there are now 6 new Siths, all which are way better than Darth Vader and Palpatine(siddius). here it is, darkhorse.com

There are some fan made books out there can't remember all the names but most of the Star Wars books are written by well known authors such as Kevin J. Anderson, Timothy Zahn, and some others. These books are approved by George Lucus and are called Expanded Universe of Star Wars as they go before and after movies.

Here is a time line of most of the offical Star Wars books starting at the bottom of the page (you need to scroll down first) and as you scroll up the books go from before episode I to 40 years after Episode VI

Basically everything published by, I think it was Bantam, but the whole Expanded Universe thing is considered canon, from the directly-after-RotJ Truce at Bakura, to the New Jedi Order. So the whole "Han and Leia get married and have kids" thing is canon, the whole "Luke and Mara get married and have a kid" thing is canon, the Outbound Flight is canon, and most importantly (to me), the best character in the entire series, Vergere, is canon.

Absoltrainer
07/31/2006, 03:36 PM
Vergere why do you think she is the best. she appears in what 5 or 4 books and the only worthy things she did was surrender herself to the yuuzhon Vong to save a planet and give a cure for mara jade's desiese

IMO She is just a small time character with a large role in a few books

Dude, go reread Traitor. Vergere is the best character in the series. Just because she isn't as big-name a character as Luke or Wedge doesn't mean she's not worthy of being the best.

Thrawn takes a close second, as well. Sure he was only in a few books himself, but quality over quantity.

I guess so but I see her as being big in one book but then again her actions do lead to the continuing of the the skywalker line

Thrawn was an awsome character IMO. My #1 fave, though, is Corran Horn.

The corron horn book itself "I,Jedi" was OK the story was slow but overall a good read in The New Jedi Order Series he was really good and is an interesting Jedi due to being able to use the force but not the telekinetic abilites

Absolutly not. He said he will NOT make another, and he confirmed that in an interview.

And no one else can. He legally made it so that no one is allowed to produce another Star Wars movie.

well acually a family member who he passes it to in his will could make it but... there will not be any more Starwars movies the rumors have been around for about 20 years or so
