Cool.

That LBS list looks odd. It will be interesting to compare it to the others that made the top4.

I just noticed something...

A 10-year-old won the 10- agegroup

And a 14-year-old won the 11-14 age group.

Only one deck actually utilized the Holon Engine, and it was from a player in Finland. That's funny because most decks now use it.

1 Girafarig LM 16

Intruiging play that I considared and dropped in Lunarock, plus the Lunatone lm with no swoop. Very interesting lists especially the first BLS - 3 Stadiums, no tranciver engine, Plusle? I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the T4 lists in all age groups

This guy is selling the individual cards from the decks lol
*sigh*. And he'll get people to buy it too. So sad.
Last year a lot of sellers on ebay tricked people into buying Worlds deck cards at high prices because the customers are ignorant.
He has it properly identified, though, so he's not doing anything illegal. Just immoral.

That LBS deck is so sad.

Mine was so much better =-(

Plusle? Wha? I guess he could start attacking with it...

3-2-3 Blasty?

Do I only see 3 stadiums? 5 was the norm.

11 energy?

That list is so odd...

Did he just get lucky each round? Like, T1/2 pidgeot? Or is his list truely superior?

10- decks also take into consideration what cards the kids can get thier hands on.
4 Blastoise (and all those other expensive cards) are hard for them to accumulate!

Player skill also needs to be taken into acount. ESPECIALLY in that age division.

*sigh* He did get T1 Pidgeot every game...Plusle got his deck out faster...while my field contained only a jirachi that stayed asleep until he won...and of course my hand was junk...*sigh*...and T2, T3 Blastoise and Steelix...again, *sigh*

10- kids just love to attack with Blastoise EX, watch them and you know half of the time they will use Blastoise.

I cannot find Arnouds list anymore, but he played Jirachi's, 1 ATM Rock, 2-2 steelix EX, holon engine, holon's castform.
But No holon magnemite.

Wow, just found his list in the booklet.

One of the most interesting things I witnessed when I went to Worlds was the fact that many of the Japanese players used MetaNite builds that looked almost identical to my own. Playing against Yukuda was a surreal experience, as I felt like I was playing against my very own deck (H. Castform engine, Pokemon Reversals, etc.). Interestingly enough, I dropped the HL Beldum idea after Nationals and went for the H. Castform engine with DS Beldums. Pokemon Reversals and a tech DX Metagross have actually been staples in my deck for quite some time now. It's exciting to see similar ideas evolve on entirely different points of the globe.

I used plusles, one jirachi HL plus swoops and a 3-2-3 line at the Great Lakes Regional (Top 8). It had several advantages at the time: I won most mirror matches,It had a better chance against Lunasol(wartortle swarm), Lone Onix starts were recoverable ( had three in the tourney and swooped out twice-the one that stuck cost me in the cut.), and turn two Blasty is much more likely. I don't know if it was all that great, but it did work for that one day anyhow. LOL

eriknance is a top notch player AND person. He's only been playing for one year, did you know that? Top 4'd the only regionals he attended, and won a gym challenge. Add in the 12th place at Worlds, and he has done so well in his first year. Don't even get me started on the K-to the EVIN (his brother). I'm scared to think what they might accomplish this year.

Worlds 2007 Finals:
Erik N. vs. Kevin N.

YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I like how that LunaRock in 11-14 was built. If you ask me, any LBS in 11-14 would have to get pretty lucky to win against it. (& some of them almost did)
I mean seriously, 6 Offensive Stadiums, & Girafarig? that kid was smart.

And WHY does Ness's MewTrick Deck have 4 TV Reporter and 1 Mary's?
shouldn't it be 4 Mary's 1 TV?
The Only reason I can think of is that he wouldn't want them to Copycat his "bigger hand" but even then, why not just burn your hand of some cards?

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

who actually battles with that stupid pidgeot?

Pidgeot+ the WP/FF Energies was a huge part of that EeveeLution Deck. Pidgeot was the fighter vrs Nidoqueen, as you would Giant Stump away Nidoqueens Bench, attach WP, & voiila! Nidoqueen Hits for little damage.

I like Jimmy's deck a lot. Well Built, & awesome, unexpected strategy.

I don't like the 3 Rare Candy tho,
I would have made a 3-1-3 Pidgeot Line & 4 rare candy if I were him.
(cuz ATM ROCK wouldn't hurt him that much anyway, since he can just use Eevee Powers again)

gr8 deck tho..

He used TV reporter more because A) There was that Banette Medicham thing running around, and he might of wanted to use Banettes attack, and B) Mewtrick gets insanly large hands, and at least you can discard unneeded stadiums with it.

He used TV reporter more because A) There was that Banette Medicham thing running around, and he might of wanted to use Banettes attack, and B) Mewtrick gets insanly large hands, and at least you can discard unneeded stadiums with it.

And C) with Admin hanging about it gave him the chance to dump useless cards, giving him nicer shuffle draws.
