Hi, I don't know what's wrong but I can't open this page. All that I get is your Pokemon Labs symbol. Its probably my computer but I'm not sure how to fix it. I've also tried going to www.pokemonlabs.com first and then clicking on the tournament page.
Thanks for any help!

Just to let you all know, the Pokemon-tcg.com site says its for saturday, the 27th, not sunday. So, I'm confused. What day is it really for?

Water Pokemon Master

It is Sunday. It was originally Saturday, but was then moved.

That is so strange. It might be because of the new system I'm using. In it self, the site is not made up of any physical html pages. Its all generated by the server using just the index file. It could also be that you may need to clear out your Cache. Lastly... it might be an Internet Explorer/Windows thing because everything look just fine on my end and I'm using Mac OS X and Safari.

Anyways... here's the old backup which I just updated with the new info:

http://www.pokemonlabs.com/events_comments.php?id=217_0_20_0_C

Sorry about that. I'll have to look into it and find out whats wrong.

WeileMomSure thing... you can download our flyer here:

As for the site... seems to be a prblem with Windows because its works just fine on Mac with both Safari and IE. If some one could test it on Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org) or any other Modern Browser for Windows and let me know so I can figure out if its a Windows problem in general or just IE for Windows. (this is why I hate Windows...)

Because they are better? =P

Water Pokemon Master
03/22/2004, 10:18 PM
Because they suck! Everytime you make something on a Mac, it is not compatible with something else. That is why my old school switched from Macs to Windows. At least with Windows, you can make a webpage and it works on Macs and any other browser program.

Okay, I am done spamming. :)

Yeah, so, ummm, I can't wait for Sunday! Only 6 more days! :)

Does anyone have an extra Gameboy Player and a Pinball Cartridge they can bring? We already have 1, but if we had 2, we can have twice as many people participate in the Pinball Contest.

Hi, We can bring ours! It's attatched to our Gamecube so I'll bring that too if you like. I helped run the LA Prerelease Pinball side event and the kids had a lot of fun!

Well... I worked on it through the night and most of today.... I've redone most of the site and so the new info page should now work correctly for Windows/Internet Explorer users.

Good job man. Just verified with IE 6.0.2800.1106 (XP). Looks good.

I'd like to get the technical dirt on what went wrong when I see you tomorrow. This is the first time I've ever heard of web done on a Mac that didn't work on other platforms (and I've been authoring HTML since 1995 on both desktop O/S). I'm used to it going the other way frequently, because PC-only authors don't know the tricks Frontpage/Visual Studio is pulling behind their back, e.g. right now a SoCal Pokémon site gives me an error if I browse using a Mac and also my son's teacher, who will not use the schools web site for his assignment & class content, only browses correctly with IE [gotta talk to both of those guys].

We had a practice session for the tourney last night. One of our local guys brought a Yu-Gi-Oh player that was stuck at his house. He played a MukEx practice deck while his friend explained. He like the strategy, but has no cards. He'll be coming to a draft event I think, but didn't want to borrow a deck and come to the CC tomorrow.

Yay... one more day to go.

It'll be tons of fun. Hope to see a big turnout tomorrow.

The only thing I can think of was the switch from pMachine to ExpressionEngine but highly doughtfull. It used the exact same HTML code as before the switch. All I did was make it more CSS dependant. That seem to have fixed it. Don't know why.

Whats wrong with borrowing a deck; as long as it buit right before him to his liking. He can always come and play in the Pinball Competition. (we might even sneak in some Mario Kart LAN games if we have time ;) )

I am bringing my 9-year-old brother tomorrow. I have been teaching him for the past hour on how to play, and he seems to be getting it. I just threw him together a water deck, and he seems to be handling it well. The only thing I am worried about is that he will totally mess up on something and that the opponent will give him a hard time or something or he will do something wrong. I just hope he has a fun time and that his opponents understand it will be his second day playing and his first time in a tourny.

I think he'll find that most players are pretty forgiving! Especially the older players. They actually seem to enjoy helping out the younger players, one of the reasons I love being involved in the game.
I'm bringing two 11 year-olds tomorrow. See you then!

Dude! You gotta get more sleep!

Hey, many thanks to Prof Warbuzz for having this event & to HJ GreatFox. It was VERY well attended (I'll let them spring you the numbers), well done and GREAT competition -- everyone was very cool.

What an awesome run of City Championships!

Great competition and official prize support even for the Fan TOs. All the events from Bakersfield to SD went smoothly, had good judging and outstanding players.

We are getting READY for State & Nationals and MORE PREMIER OP leadership here in SoCal!

Wow... what a day!

I still feel the pain from the leg cramp I got yesterday from standing all day and judging.

We had a great Turnout with 60 Players:
3 (10-)
11 (11-14)
46 (15+)

All Star Games was awsome and they were very impressed with how well we ran thing and the huge turnout. They welcomed us to come back anytime. So we will defenatly be holding next year's CC there as well as any other Large events POP opens up for us regular TOs.

See you guys at States on April 17th!
