I saw it last night at 8. I personally liked it, however, I thought it was a bit confusing and while it may not of been the best of the 3, it was most definately the funniest.

P.S. There is indeed something at the end for all that care.

My God, that was an awesome movie.

I enjoyed ******* using ***** on the ***** at the end. It was a bit corny, but still awesome.

(I censored that for the peeps out there who haven't seen it yet)

EDIT: Well, I tried. Can't you give a guy points for effort?

There is no try, only do.

And everyone knows the "best movie ever", does have a pirate in it, but it's The Dread Pirate Roberts, not Jack Sparrow.

You are all incorrect.
The best movie ever, by far, was Snakes on a Plane.

I liked this one the best out of 3 just barely over 1... yeah pretty good movie, somewhat confusing...makes me wonder what happens to the situations THIS movie raised...

I hardly believe the new Pirates is the "best movie ever"

There are just so many others that could claim this title...

The Godfather
Pulp Fiction
The Return of the King

to name a few.

DarkJake
05/26/2007, 10:45 AM
anything LOTF is too boring to claim best movie ever. Pulp Fiction was pretty good...but its stupid style of presentation and rather shortness of the individual stories because of it is its downfall

I just saw and was amazed at how bad it was.

CONTAINS SPOILERS

HIGHLIGHT TO SEE

First of all the plot was everywhere. There was the Davy Jones heart and love story plot. There was the goddess plot. There was the William and Elizabeth plot. There was the Free William's father plot. There was the Pirates vs. the Englishmen plot and a few others.

I did enjoy the first hour or so from the Singapore start until the end of rescueing Jack but then it went down hill. I just did not enjoy the movie. The music often obsured the talking and I got confused thourout a lot of the film. I was really really dissapointed. However despite my better judgement I still am looking forward to the next one.

yeah, i do like that movie. face/off.

pirates is a movie that you enjoy because you like fun movies. you like hanging out with your friends and watching it. you're captivated with all the simultaneous plot lines. you love seeing kiera knightley. i know i do. you're always surprised by wacky plot twists that you never see coming. you think you're in one boat then you find out you're in another. and the movie is funny and exciting all that the same time.

it's not critically acclaimed. it's no godfather or taxi driver. it's no 300. it's no Incredibles. but still a great movie in its own right.

oh and i hear this is supposed to be the last one. but the ending sorta opened it up for another one, didnt it? or am i the only one who thinks there could be another sequel.

It was slightly better than the second one, I'll say that; but I doubt I'll be watching it again any time soon.

If you're in the mood for a "fun" movie, may I suggest Dog Soldiers. Not quite as much spectacle as Curse of The Black Pearl, but it's definitely one of the funniest films I've ever seen (whist also being a thriller/horror/action movie).

As for the best movie ever... City of God, American Beauty, Lost in Translation, Battle Royale, Chopper, Annie Hall, Pulp Fiction, Schindler's List, The Godfather, Trainspotting and dare I say Chasing Amy and Easy Rider all have their place.

I loved it. Just saying.

Better than 2nd.

And best movie ever is The Godfather and The Godfather: Part Deuce (that's what it's called, right? Can't remember). Basically 3/4 of the lists by decent critics you'll ever see have those two movies in their 1) and 2) slots.

Back to the future, Citizen Kane, Duel, Gandi, The Green Mile, The Manchurian Candidate (the original non or this re-make tripe!), North by North West, The Italian Job (again the original), Rear Window, On The Beach, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Shawhank Redemption, To Kill a Mockingbird, Unbreakable, Pulp Fiction, Silence of the Lambs, Godfather II, Schindlers list, Raiders of the lost ark, The Shining, 2001: Space Odessy, The Elephant Man, Arsenic and Old Lace, Dial M for Murder, Death of a Salesman.

In particular though Back to the future, it's one of the most watchable films I can think of.

Yeah, it's a true classic. Book and Film.

You can add Grapes of Wroth to my list now that I think of it.

The point is theres no best film, lol.

Lol @ The Elephant Man.
I honestly didn't like the book or the movie very much, even though the acting was well done. I just couldn't get into it.

To Kill a Mockingbird, however, was amazing, easily the best book we've read in school and one of the best book to movie translations I've seen.

I want to see City of God, as it sounds like a great plot and storyline for a movie.

And I can't wait to see Pirates 3. ;x

I saw it last weekend. Easily the best of the trilogy. I could see this become the Star Wars of my generation. By Star Wars, I mean it would have the same impact on my generation as Star Wars did on our fathers, uncles, etc.

Jack the Monkey stole the show for me. :D

I saw the movie and it didn't live up to the hype imo. I'll just put it this way though it's the 1st movie trying to be the 2nd movie. The 1st having the overall best story and the 2nd having the overall best plot.
