First Tourny Report so bear with me if it's horrid, anyways Started out waking up way to early for my own good cuz i didn't know the people i would be riding with would be so late to show up. Friends finally show and we hit the interstate for the 2 hour drive about 730 and arrive in Longmont at about 945 and start waiting for Wendys to open to get breakfast. Then we go about waiting around 2 or so hours filling out deck lists waiting for more to show. Then NOON rolls around and we finally get started.
I'm Running Empoleon so is my friend.
Deck was:
4-2-3-1 Empoleon
3-3 Seaking (DP)
2-2 Milotic D
4 Rare Candy
4 Stevens' Advice
3 TVR
4 Castawa
3 Scott
4 Str Charm
3 Celios
2 Prof. Rowan
2 Holon Mentor
4 DRE
9 Water
Round 1: Me vs Jason B. (???)
I started with a loan Priplup vs his Palkia and was pretty confident. I attach and peck for 10 his turn he attaches and hits me with Special Rend and 2 Pluspowers getting my slightly worried as i'm missing basics and evolutions. Next turn i top deck an Empoleon and am able to rare candy attache and hit for 40 putting him on the ropes he burns a celios to get a basic and hits for 10 next turn i KO palkia he sends up nidoran attempts to tail whip misses and game.

Round 2: Me vs Josh R. (My friend with Empoleon also)
He gets a crazy start pulling 6 basics in his opening hand and mentoring for the last 3 in his deck his first turn. I start with a Priplup and Goldeen. I'm able to pull out a 2nd turn Empoleon and Ice Blade his benched Nidoran slowing down his setup immensly and start tearing through basics till he finally gets an Emp Lv. X set up and takes out my Empoleon leaving me with nothing else prepped enough to fight him so i throw a few seakings at him hitting for 40-50 a piece. Nearing the end I'm sitting ready on an Empoleon to KO a Latios EX and Vaporeon EX for the win but then he farmer/Queens for an Emp Lv. X and snipes my benched Milotic for the win. Yet another tough game with him as always

Round 3: Me vs Michael P. (Mismagius/Dusknoir/Gengar)
I get a decent start with goldeen in active vs his Duskull. Turn 2 seaking does his thing hitting for 50 KOing the Duskull only to be hit with a scrambled mismagius right back. Next turn i'm able to rare candy empoleon with DRE and hit him for 30 with Ice blade. He attaches to bench and passes I attach again play my Emp Lv. X and KO Mismagius and hit a bench for 20. He gets a Dusknoir set up later in the game aside from that not much fight was put up.

Round 4: Me vs Aacen H. (Flygod)
Fairly quick game don't remember to much aside from i got a 1st Turn Empoleon with DRE 2nd Turn Empoleon Lv. X which horribly slows down and hurts his set up he's able to get 1 Flygon set up all game only to lose it quickly after this he scoops instead of wasting the time to sit through the whole match.

Match 1:
I'm able to get an early Empoleon and start eating what basics i can in hopes of shutting down his engine but fail miserably he is able to draw through 90% of his deck before he pulls out a flygon EX and it was down hill for me from there hitting for a 100 a turn and having 2 back up flygons in his hand even my Emp Lv. X wasn't able to save me to big of a hand 2 didn't have much affect.

Match 2:
Almost identical match only he set up MUCH faster leaving me squirming for basics and things capable of hurting his Flygons enough. If only i had Latios EX in the deck.

So i finish 3rd while my friend Josh finishes 1st thanks to LATIOS EX vs Flycatty >< but 2 Empoleons in top 3 i'm very happy for since it's not getting the attention it deserves he's a beast.
