Are there any good Grass decks/combos (that will be legal come Sept 1st)? I have an urge to make a competitive Grass deck, but need a starting point.

That's a good list, but I'd take out the Holon Engine and add four Pokeballs.
It's decks like this that make me proud to play Pokemon.
Edit: Now that this in the right forum....
Well, there's Torterra, but he's a tad slow.
Grass Pogeys will be a lot more playable once Ape loses its popularity.
Torterra's slowness kinda works though if you focus around the LvX (which you should), go down a couple prizes to activate the power/scrambles and go from there. 160HP and semi-pow power is amazing.

My son plays a Venusaur /Flygon deck. It's pretty decent; Venusaur uses his green blast while Flygon attaches more and more energy each turn... by T5 or so, everything is a OHKO, especially with scrambles, DREs (not on Venusaur), and maybe a boost or two... :-D Infernape matchup sucks, though.

What about Energy Trans Sceptile? Is that a good idea? And with Venusaur as a main attacker, would Holon GL be a good addition?

Exeggutor seems to be really powerful in the upcoming MT set. The new Celebi is also very good at setting up Green Blast for Venusaur or even setting up a couple of Deafen Draggy EX's. The only downside to running a Grass deck right now is because of Infernape. Most of the decent Grass types still suffer from 2X fire weak. Dragonite EX has no weaks, so he's still pretty good for grass decks at the moment.
I'm sensing Eggs love with either Venusaur/Dragonite to be one of the better setups right now. Flygon Delta helps setup Green Blast as well, as one of the above posters made mention. I REALLY like the new Celebi though. I've tested against a few decks and it didn't do half bad.
