while I can't help with your precise request, I had found this on the pre-order page at EB Games:
Pokemon EX Sandstorm arrives with 108 cards packed with even more EXciting new features. EX Sandstorm unleashes brand new evolved forms of Pokemon, such as Wailord-ex, Typhlosion-ex, and Raichu-ex. On top of this, players will now have the ability to use new Trainer cards, Multi-energy cards, and new powers like "Link Attack". Adding over 50 new Pokemon, more Poke-attacks, and more Poke-powers, Pokemon-e EX Sandstorm is a must have for all trainers!
This would make it more than ADV2 + a couple of re-printed cards ...

"Multi-Energy Cards"?
Does that mean Double Colourless (reprint), or Dual (or Tri-/Quad- Energies (Novelty and cool!) or does it mean more crappy cards with attacks that need three different energy cards attached?

".or does it mean more crappy cards with attacks that need three different energy cards attached?"
Erm I rather think some of those maybe quite playable in a slower environment where Lady Outing can get you the energy cards you need ... still that does depend on Neo and the WotC sets going from OP...
Looks into the future and sees ...
Cards with a dot code on the bottom.. can't make out the sides though... it's definitely yellow there but can't see well enuff through the mystic haze... is it R&S onwards only???...
No it's fading ..... it's gone ...
What will be will be ;)

As far as I can tell, it means that there's a card named "Multi-Energy". Which is the same thing as a Rainbow Energy, except, you don't take any damage when you attach it, and if you attach any other special energy cards, it only provides [C].
I think that's the only energy card from the set, unless some of the extra 40+ cards are energy...

From our own nick15's ADV2 set spoiler:
Multiple Energy [ENERGY]
Multiple Energy provides all Energy type, but only 1 of them at a time.
If there are any other non-Basic Energy cards attached to the Pokemon
that Multiple Energy is attached to, then Multiple Energy only provides
Colorless energy. Multiple Energy is a non-Basic Energy card.
53/53 Uncommon [Takumi Akabane]
this is, indeed, the only energy card in the 53-card Japanese ADV2 set :)
hhmmm...Typhlosion EX. That seems pretty interesting. So does that mean that Cyndaquil and Quilava are in the set as well? Now that I mentioned Typhlosion EX, anyone got a trasnlation?

I just recieved my Nintendo Power Volume 172 and it gave a Sneak Preview of EX Sandstorm. It showed two cards that are going to be in the set...Armaldo and Cradily which you can get in the Theme Decks.
Also it is revealed from these scans that there are actually 100 cards in the set instead of the 108.
You can find a scan of the page from Pokémon Zeo (http://www.pokemonzeo.com).
One last thing revealed in Pokémon Zeo is that the promo that you will get at the EX Sandstorm Prerelease is that Armaldo which will have a Prerealease stamp. I think it should be that Armaldo ex promo that theyu should give away.
Anyways, I hope this helps and clears up any problems.

Naw, I'm thinking they were going to reprint the six basic energies including Metal and Darkness Energy. But after seeing the problems regarding sealed with energies, they probably dropped them.

i can't wait either!!!
i think there's 8 EX-pokemon in sandstorm as it is in "ex ruby & sapphire", and that they're numbered #101-108/100 ..
i'd say that it's strange that in ex ruby & sapphire the EX-pokemon were numbered between special energies and normal energies ..
(special energy #93-95; ex #96-103; basic energy 104-109)
The expansion has many broken cards, yes. But I think it's ok. New broken cards are actually what makes the game exciting.

wow...so many interesting ideas (all are wrong though ;x)
If there are gonna be Ex Pokemon they'll be in that 100. Could there be secret cards? Of course. Will there be? Probably not. That magic number of 108 was created from marketing because at the time they did not know whether or not Darkness, Metal, and the 6 basic energy would be included in the set

They are : Cradily and Armaldo. It also has a write up about Mysterious and Fossil Pokemon. Also Pokemon you encounter on Rte. 118.

That nice thing about the broken cards in these sets like the Mewtwo is that they are EX Pokemon. SO even if they are broken cause they can do a lot of damage quickly, I think they are even out since if you opponent takes one out they get to draw two prizes. :D

Hey, dumb question, but does anyone know for sure if they're doing the setup where the holos are different cards than the rares, such as in Neo4 and EX1, or if they're doing a setup similar to Expedition, Aquapolis, and Skyridge, for example, where all holos have rare counterparts?
It's easier to get enough of the good cards if they do the double system, but that means there wouldn't be as many different cards, as this set isn't planned to be that huge... Then again, the 'every card is different' setup makes people buy more boxes and packs to get enough of the great holos... and proves hard for the people who can't afford more than a box.
Anybody know for sure what the setup is? (Doesn't want this to turn into a rares format discussion, just wants an answer ;))

Thing is, at the moment, no one knows exactly WHAT the Sandstorm expansion will consist of - since the Japanese set ADV2 is only 53 cards, but the Sandstorm set is being marketed as a 108-card set...

Actually, they've now changed it to 100-card set. They've decided not to have the 8 extra energies (6 basic + Darkness and Metal). Of course, this could still change. I guess we'll find out this weekend at a pre-release, are there any locations this weekend?

How does anyone know that there are 100 cards? From the scans I saw, you couldn't even make out the card number, even when you zoomed in, unless Nick15 looked at the magazine picture before scanning it, which I am sure he did. And couldn't some of the cards be hidden ones, such as Dark Raichu in Team Rocket? Anyways, I guess I will know how many cards there will be when I go to the tourny this Saturday in San Diego and get all of the scans when I bring my scanner. I also think that the other 50 something cards will make the new format playable, if they decide to go with EX R/S on.
Sorry if anyone already mentioned the above, I haven't read any of the posts, except the first one.

There is one card that I know for sure is in there. I saw it in an add in GamePRO Magazine, and the card went like this:
Shiftry
120 HP
Grass
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: (none)
Retreat: [2]
Fain Away
ONce during your turn (before you attack) you may flip a coin. If heads take an energy card attached to the Defending Pokemon and put it into your opponent's hand. This PokePOWER cannot be used if Shiftry is affected by a Special Condition.
[GGCC] Light Touch Throw 80-
does 80 damage minus 10 damage for each Energy Card attached to the Defending Pokemon.
The picture was grainy, and it was somewhat in the background, but that's what I could make out. Also, there is a Linoone with 70 HP and has a 20x attack. Don't know what this tells all of you, but good luck with it!!!
dkates
09/02/2003, 07:12 PM
Energy disruption's gonna have a whole new name! Just get 4 of these guys out (if you can), and your opponent can kiss his Energy goodbye! Especially if you also use Desert Shaman!
bullados
09/02/2003, 07:16 PM
I am about 99% sure on that. I read the thing over about a couple million times, and that's about the best I can get out of it. The power's the only thing I might be a little off on. There might be an "active" clause in there, but that's what I got.
dkates
09/02/2003, 07:25 PM
Wouldn't be surprised if there were an Active clause. Otherwise, we might be looking at an Energy version of Slowking -- attach an Energy, your opponent flips four coins to send it right back to your hand on the next turn.
bullados
09/02/2003, 07:32 PM
Also, this guy's a stage 2, making it harder to get out. What I'm more impressed with is that the Power and the Attack go so well together!!! 80 for [2GG]? You can't GET that kind of straight, raw damage for that cost!!! However, the active clause would be a very good thing to put on him, especially since there is a serious lack of Gusting cards in Exxon, and even in Eon.
