What is the best way to fix a figure

Ok my absol fell off the base yesterday, however the marking from the plastic are still there and it fits on perfectly. I plan to simply glue it back on. Is there any glue that works the best for this or what?

Lock-tight superglue. 1 drop. JUST 1.

my son has just put a ton of tape around it till I can return them to walmart. The tape seems to work that he wants to keep them.

Cyanoacrylate (typical super glue) seems to hold just fine. I had to reattach two figures to their bases this weekend after the league kids went wild over them.
