Basically i came into the gym challenge with the mindset win all or go home. Everyone had this attitude its obvious. Well i wake up around 7:30 gather my things and head out the door with my dad and brother. We arrive in Garden City around 9:20 and stop for some breakfast at Mcdonalds. As were in line my brother(10) and I talk decks i decide to go pure Blaze/Ray he decides on BAR. We get to Pandemonium and a lot of people are there already. After getting the last cards i needed and talking to Jedidrew, T-tar666, Spookees who flew all the way from ARIZONA for the event psycodad, Sands and the rest of the Michigan crew the first round starts.
Me vs. Jedidrew(Gardy)
Drew won the ohio GC the day before and decided just to play Gardy. I dont remember much except the fact i lost delcatty early which really screwed me in the long run. I couldnt draw anything and eventually Drew won.

after this game im like devistated, i know that i have to win out to even have a chance. I find out my brother beats spookees son in his first round and soon after the second round starts.
Me vs. Eddie C- My Kingdra/Haryiama/Wobb list
Eddie won the MI states and was playing a very good list i made pre TMTA. I get going fast OHKOing everything in my path. He never gets Kingdra out and my Bex and Rayquaza swarming for OHKOs was just to much for him.
Round 3:
Me vs. Justin (Swampy/Suicune)
This game was one of the oddest all day. He gets a mudkip start to my Dunsparce. I SARS etc. He second turn Swampert ex knocks out my Sparce and i bring up torchic. He hits torchic for 40 or whatever but by this time i had loaded Rayquaza with a multi and 3 fire. I knock out the Swamp ex, then reversal some other stuff for the win. I finish the game and head over to watch the rest of my brothers game. It comes down to him vs his good friend dave for the 10- trip. Dave plays a pokemon reversal and flips tails which ended the game. Both guys played a great game but my brother won the trip!!!

Round 4 vs. Ron13-Team Aqua
Ron and i talked before the tournament, and he realized he had forgot to put Crystal Shard into the deck. It cost him bad. I get going extremely fast again and get Bex and Rayquaza up just OHKOing everything he throws at me. He didnt draw a prize.

By this point i know a draw gets me into T8, so the pairings go up and what are the odds im the only 3-1 player that gets downpaired with someone that HAS to play the game.
Me vs. ? w/ Gardy
This game was all misplays on his part. He doesnt evolve Wynaut when im sitting with Ray/Multi benched, i OHKO gardy ex, and he misplayed instead of playing a Ru/SA Gardy he plays a gardy ex. It seemed like nervousness got to him or he didnt know how to play the deck..

I figure by now that im second seed in T8. The T8 consisted of.
1. Jedidrew-Gardy
2. Me- Pure Blaziken/Rayquaza
3. Will Young- Suicune/Swampert
4. David M- Pure Blaze Ray
5. Fulop- Blaz/Ray/Omastar
6. Sands- Blaze/Ray
7. Annaisarich- Magma deck
8. William Hung- YES him, Blaz/Ray
So i get Annaisarich my good friend in the first round. T8 was best 2/3
Game 1. vs. Magma deck
His lack of draw power KILLED him, i got everything i needed and swarmed for the win.
Game 2
Much of the same, he gets a bit of a better setup this game, but again i had Ray/Bex and 2 Firestarters. This game took longer but i won Great game Rich!!
So now im in T4, and i play the winner of David M and Fulop. David M ends up winning and we start.
Game 1 vs. pure Blaz/Ray
I draw crap, he takes out combusken, and ray and i just scoop
Game 2
I start terrible again but he does too, which eventually saved me. We both get setup but i had the better setup/reversals so i eventually won
Game 3
Beginning was just like Game 1, we trade off prizes but eventually he gets a bex to knock out my Rayquaza and eliminate me:(
When i left Will Hung, Will Young and David were left not sure who won tho. Overall I had a great time, and cant wait to see everyone at worlds!! Hopefully i can either get an invite or stay at 12th globally so i can play LOL!!

Props to my brother for winning 10- and somethingelse for winning 11-14 almost another complete shack sweep.
Props to Spookees for flying all the way to michigan to play in a GC. Cool to meet you.
