I thought this deck up just now. It is supposed to confuse your opponent since it plays verry different from real Banette decks. I don't know if there are any decks like this though, so don't blame me for stealing an idea or something like that.

----------
Pokemon
----------
4 Shuppet CG
4 Banette SW
2-2 Sleep Hole Darkrai+lv.X -Attack Booster
2-2 Weavile SW -Dark Provider
1-1 Claydol GE -Tech
1 Lunatone and/or 1 Solrock -Tech

Total: 20
---------
Trainers
---------
3 Master Ball
3 Dusk Ball
2 Rare Candy
2 Crystal Beach/Holon Circle
3 Celio's
1 Bebe's
2 Roseanne's
2 Warp Point
2 Premier Ball
1 TSD
1 Night Maintenance

Total: 22
--------
Energy
--------
3 DRE
2 Scramble
5 :psychic:
8 :dark:

Total: 18

Strategy:

Shuppet/Banette play: If this is your first active Pokemon, you need to sacrifice it when evolved. So don't bother attaching more than 1 energy. Can be easily done by using Ghost Head. Not only should this KO Banette faster, it also KO's a Basic or Stage 1 from your opponent. With this Pokemon Active and having no obvious discard cards played yet, you are playing with the opponents mind since it is not normal for a Banette deck to have a lack of discard cards.
After the rest is set up, it can dish out some great damage in a way that will not be suspected.

Darkrai play: When playing this as Active, you can do a few things depending on which cards you have got in your hand. There are no real guidelines to what you should do exept build him up to use Sleep Hole while setting up on the Bench. Don't forget to lv. Up! And don't forget to use Darkness Roar to force a switch.

Sneasel/Weavile play: When starting with Sneasel, try to get a Weavile on it asap. This is a reason why I have put in Rare Candy. Besides it's Dark Engage Poke-Power, you should only retreat him when you have used Shadow Charge enough to power up your Benched Pokemon.

How does this deck combo? Banette takes Psychic energys. Not Darkness energys.

he figurs the DRE would take care of that...
if you're not playing scramble, why do you want to sacrasife the first banette?

That is why I put in DRE. That way if you have attached 1 Dark energy to evolve Shuppet turn 1 while having Darkrai and Weavile in play, you can dish out a clean 40/80 damage when you attach a DRE turn 2.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Because there are no cards exept for Lunatone to get them in the discard.
I am going to edit the list soon since I think Sramble would be usefull to this deck.

why DRE and dark when 2 psychic does same thing?

To speed it up. And because there are more Dark Pokemon in the deck so it would only make sense putting more Dark energy in it. Besides, you need Dark energy to nullify the DRE's effect.

Still, I have the feeling that I do not understand you.

I don't think Darkrai X works with Special Energy.

No it doesn't. That is why I have put in Basic Dark.

Then you're essentially wasting your D energy on Banette...

Wouldn't Mismagius work better here? You don't want to throw too much extra dark to Banette, since they tend to die anyway.

No, indeed, you don't attach more than 2 Dark energy when it has a DRE attached.

The fact that you are using Banette to just do an almost guaranteed 30/100 damage without much receycling.

Also, the fact that it continiously changes in base damage, makes it al the more confusing for your opponent if he/she can't remeber what's in the discard pile.

And about the Mismagius argument, no, Mismagius doesn't do the right damage when the opponent has little to none energy attached to the Defending pokemon.

But at least Mismagius benefits from those Dark Energies.

Banette is for GG. It's Banette's sole purpose of living. Well, you want to make Banette dark. Now, it doesn't hit GG's weakness for 110. It hits... 80 with DRE and Dark. Or 100 with DRE and dark when you don't make it dark. All this setup and you still do better damage without it. With Mismagius, you actually do something with that dark energy... pay a colorless energy cost.

Now, if you think Weavile is decent Magmortar counter in this... no, still no. Weavile does 40, and while that's 70 to Maggy or 80 to Maggy Lv. X, do you want to make it dark? To do 60? Don't think so...

And if you are planning to use Banette for attacking Magmortar and Weavile for attacking GG, you're playing this game wrong.

Also, by playing Weavile setup with DREs and Scrambles, you're forgetting the one thing that makes Weavile decks playable - Crystal Beach. Well, you have Crystal Beach/Circle in your list, but with 5 special energies? You can't even power up 3 Banette if you lock in Beach. And with Circle... well, watch Magmortar burn you. You will be the one losing a turn as Magmortar usually plays Windstorms/Tauroses to get rid of problematic stadiums.

You have great cards in this deck, too bad they don't have any synergy together... If your strategy for confusing opponent, congratulations - you succeeded at confusing me with this deck.

It's only used to use Shadow Charge to dig up and attach Dark energy and when back on the Bench, it will only be good for Darg Engage.

The Stadiums are only used in early game to give the deck a little more set up time. Or just to annoy your opponent.
I atleast assume that the opponent will play Windstorm and such to get rid of them so even this deck can make use of DRE's and Scrambles.

i don't see how this deck would work what so ever. u can't use banette with darkrai, it just doesn't go together. if u want to surprise your opponents, than i sugest gengar.

Gengar depends on flippies to be good....

Besides, I only have 1 Gengar and 1 Mismagius.

i'm sorry, not to burst your stratagy but you've mixed the wrong too up. Banette wins games because it deals damage fast (t2 80). Not because it can OHKO stage 2.
80 with pluspower or strenth charm can ko 95% of stage 1 pokemon, and thats what the deck is suposed to do.

As you said, in order to properly abuse Darkrai, and weavile, you'll need to find other pokemon to work with. Perferably pokemon that don't need a specific type of energy.

So pokemon like Blissey and Ho-oh work wonders with Darkrai and Weavile because you'd ONLY need to attach the dark where as with Banette you'll still need the psychic energy before you can get into the extra.
