Does anyone eles think Magnezone IFDS (lightning) is broken? You have a benched Magnezone IFDS and an Electivire and restore Magnezone Lv.Xs attack. The lines make
Free Retreat (Mag DP)
Pokemon Searching (Mag IFDS M)
Recovering Energy (Vire SW/Mag IFDS L)
Energy Moving (Mag Lv.X)
That is one seriously broken deck.

Okay, the IFDS Magnezone that is in the set itself goes like this:
Metal 120 HP
Power: Magnetic Search
Once during your turn, you may search your deck for one Metal or Lightning Pokemon and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. This power can't be if Magnezone is affected by a Special Condition
Speed Shot: [L][C]
Choose one of your opponent's Pokemon. This attack does 20 damage to that Pokemon. This attack's damage isn't affected by any effects on the Defending Pokemon.
Crush Bolt: 80 damage [L][C][C]
Discard one Energy attached to Magnezone.
Weakness: Fire +30 Resistance: Psychic -20 Retreat Cost: 2
The Lightning one you are talking about above is in one of the IFDS theme decks. That translation is like this:
Lightning 120 HP
Power: Super Connectivity
Once during your turn, you may search your discard for one Lightning or Metal Energy card and attach it to the Active Pokemon. Put 1 damage counter on that Pokemon. This power can't be used if Magnezone is affected by a Special Condition.
Gyro Ball: 60 damage [L][C][C]
After doing damage, you may switch Magnezone with one of your Benched Pokemon. If you do, your opponent must switch the Defending Pokemon with one of his/her Benched Pokemon.
Weakness: Fighting +20 Resistance: Metal -20 Retreat Cost: 3
Yeah, they are both awesome. The thing about them is that there are so many of them. You can't effectively run all of the different Magnezones. You will have to leave one or two of them out. If you want to just spam Cyber Shock the entire game, then maybe the Super Connectivity Magnezone is for you. I personally think having the DP one is more worth the space. Then again, the aim in my deck is not spamming Cyber Shock. Not to say that spamming Cyber Shock is a bad strategy, it just isn't the one I would go for.

That also makes 4 different magnezones. Good luck operating the deck with any sort of consistency- especially if a key component or two is prized or untimely knocked out.

I know - I wouldn't use all of them.

:eek::eek:Okay, I thought I knew pretty much everything about Magnezone, but I found this just now:

It is apparently a promo from the 11th movie. It is there in the top right corner of the picture there.
This is its Translation:

Has anyone seen this before?

I hadn't even heard of it.
Nice card for Magnezone decks, but as the article says it probably won't be released in English, so it would be a lot of hassle getting the card. You'd have to ship it over from Japan and get the exact translation *shudder*.

How is it hard to run all of them? You run 1 of each. Run 2 Azelf so you can search for the prized ones. Open with the IFDS M one first so you can search for the rest of the setup. I wouldn't run this, but it wouldn't be that difficult to pull off.
Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Can someone post the translation here? Bulbapedia isn't working out on my browser.

I don't think that is good for strategy or consistency. Remember, the format is going to pick up a lot of raw speed with Kingdra, AMU, Scorpio, etc. There is no way you will be able to get the specific Magnezone you want every game when you run one of each. What you are saying is possible, and probably not all that bad, but I think focusing in on just one or two of the Magnezones with the Lv.X is the way to go.

The super connectivity one and maybe the searching one with the Lv.X are the only ones worth playing. Maybe those two will fix it from being such a sloooow deck...

I don't think the consistancy would be that bad when you have such good stall in Mime which hurts Kingdra, AMU, and Scorpio for three turns which allows you the setup needed. IMO not to slow.:thumb:

G-Dog is right about just focusing one just one or 2 Magnezone. Your best bet would be the free retreat magnezone's. (With Heatrans as your energy restorers) Zone decks will be hard to bring down especially when its weakness (power cancellations) is weak against metal (Glaceon). It's also a pretty fast set up since the energy cost of the LV.X attack balances out the 2 stage LV.X thing.

i like free retreat mime and X so farm, really just by themselves. Play heatran if you need to but metal blast is really not that bad. And free retreat with trans is just beautiful
