So I was looking at the new cards from the next set and after seeing Shaymin Lv. X I thought how much more broken can grass get. This deck is still in the makings but this is what I have so far.
Pokemon - 25
Sableye – 4 IFDS
Eevee – 4
Leafeon – 2
Espeon – 2
Leafeon Lv. X – 1
Treecko – 3
Grovle – 2
Sceptile – 2
Sceptile – 1 IFDS
Shaymin – 2 IFDS
Shaymin Lv. X – 2 IFDS
Trainers -
Rare Candy – 2
Pokehealer – 4 IFDS
Professor Oak’s Visit – 4
Cynthia’s Feelings – 2
Buck’s Training – 2
Night Maintenance – 2
Roseanne’s Research – 2
Warp Point – 2
Energy – 15
Grass Energy – 12
Multi Energy – 3
Strategy: The whole idea of the deck like any other deck that runs Leafeon Lv. X is to get Leafeon out there of course and to wail on anything and everything with some help from Sceptile. whats even better is that the TCG has made a new Sceptile with Energy Trans thus allowing for Grass energy to me moved around freely.
Even more so by running both Shaymin and espeon I have a Leafeon Lv. X with a potential 170 HP and Pokehealers to back it up by removing 8 damage counters and special conditions. This not only helps the deck but also insures that Leafeon gets even more prizes than before.
Of course I'm also running Sableye which I'm sure many will run because of its free attack.
Sableye LV.31 – Darkness – HP60
Basic Pokemon
Poke-Body: Rashness
If this Pokemon is an Active Pokemon when the cards are flipped over at the beginning of the game, regardless of who won the coin toss, the owner of this card goes first. (This Body doesn’t work if the opponent’s Active Pokemon also has a Rashness Poke-Body.)
[.] Human Mimic: Search your deck for a Supporter card, discard it, and shuffle your deck. Then, use the effect of the discarded card as an effect of this attack.
[D] Overreach: 10 damage. If the Defending Pokemon’s remaining HP is less than Sableye’s remaining HP, this attack does 40 damage instead of 10.
Weakness: none
Resistance: Colorless (-20)
Retreat: 1
I feel certain that this deck along with many other versions will be very popular after we receive IFDS in the fall.
However at this time I am looking for any advice on to what changes could be made to help the flow of this deck.
