Well, the strong thing that I noticed that were reigning supreme in this area's format was too main things. Sniping and powers. So... I was thinking about making a fossil deck to slow them down. I am also thinking about basing them around Bastiodon, Aerodactyl, and Omastar, making the Bastidon the heavy hitter. What are you guys' opinion on this?

Aerodactyl is beyond golden in this format, yes. Bastiodon (with a LOT of help) is dangerous too, as it two hit KOs Claydol if it actually manages to survive being attacked twice, and stops non-gengar/azelf LV.X sniping (and all spread besides those from bodies, which is cool). Bastiodon's psychic resistance is really nice too...

A few challenges I see though:
1) How is Bastiodon surviving 2 hits from most attackers? 130 HP, but most decks can do 60-100 damage per attack to the active. Special Metal only goes so far... Especially since you've gotta consider "How am I recovering those?"
2) How is Aerodactyl ever coming out? Old Amber isn't searchable by a LOT of cards (Fossil Excavator comes to mind as an annoying example of something that can't find either of the parts)
3) How are you setting up second Bastiodons? Seems slightly problematic trying to recover from knockouts with a deck like this and no energy acceleration...

I think if you could find an effective solution to those three problems, then you've got a scary deck, yep. Especially since no one likes fire for anything right now (due to Kingdra) except for possibly Heatran LV.X abusing on snipe cards (Magmortar LV.X/Rapidash), which are all negated and turned on their head by Bastiodon. Intriguing (sorta)

The only card that is in rotation that can get back the special metal back is Aggron MT. The Aerodactyl issue is messed up in my mind. The only solution is to have a starter that searches for trainers, but there aren't any that are that viable or worth the spot. I could try a furret line to keep my deck constant. And have a Bastiodon ready to be charge....hmm.... This is a dliemma that is worth thinking about...

Um easy answer for Aerodactyl!

Poke Drawer + (just make sure you get two...which then is another problem...)

That presents the same problem... how do I get the Pokedrawers in my hand...

A Kabutops deck with a Bastidon and Aerodactyl tech is surprisingly good in this format.
Stark Mountian and Regirock really helps to speed the Kabutops up.

Many people that have not played against a strong Kabutops deck do not realize how many trainers they really run and use untill your sitting there with 6 trainers in your hand.

Kabutops matched up well against Luxray
Bastidon matches up well against Kingdra

The combo of the 3 gives you a fighting chance against AMU

hmm.... I am thinking more of a Groudon starter for that deck. I can see that. The Kabutops decks I see had Ampharos techs. And fyi the first time I faced a Kabutops deck, I was running a speed deck at the time(which runs an insane amount of trainers.). And for some reason... I never lost to an AMU deck yet...
