Yahoo! First Post!

This card can really be a heavy bench and active hitter! Just the coin is too flippy, would have been better if tails, search the deck for 2 Fire Energy. 8D

6/10

Its power is just a back up. However, his spreading fire is good if you able to use it for 3 to 4 turns.:thumb:

People who use things like Togekiss should LLLLOVE this card.
Rare candy... flip... load up or not.

I actually LIKE this card more than Togekiss because you have a card that's not a bad attacker.
I'm going to run a 4-4 w/ candies and see what kind of speed I can get going with a deck centered around this.

A stage 1 tech just in case the coin flips fall flat.. i suppose.

I think its a pretty good card. It has the most HP of any Infernape (Non Lv. X) to date. Has a good but flippy :ppowr: and is :fighting: (KOs Raichu Lv. X for :colorless:colorless Energy) and does not require :fighting: Energy. It could work well with the Lv. X late game, and if you do Level it up, you can use it with Heatran Lv. X. The only problem is that you get :water:+30 weakness and it loses its :fighting: type.

I also think it has awesome artwork. Mitsuhiro Arita FTW!!!

I give it a 7-8/10.

Today's CotD is Infernape, the 3rd brother to his other two from DP and MD; however, unlike the other two, this Infernape boasts the highest HP of the 3 (120, as opposed to 110 MD and 100 DP), and is :fighting:, not :fire:. He has a +30 Weakness to :psychic: (better than the other two's +30 Weakness to :water:), no Resistance, and still has a free Retreat Cost. Blaze Dance is a nifty, if not flippy Poke-Power; when Infernape is played from your hand (and if you flip Heads), you can attach up to 4 :fire: Energy from your discard to any of your Pokemon, providing instant energy acceleration. Close Combat deals a damaging 60 for :colorless:colorless, but leaves Infernape taking an extra 30 damage next turn, which isn't good considering his HP. Spreading Fire is moderately priced at :fire::fire::colorless:colorless for 80 and 20 to each of the opponent's benched Pokemon, but you have to discard two :fire: to use it.

Modified - 6/10 (For a pure Infernape deck, the other two are better, however, this can see potential outside of a straight Infernape deck in providing support with Blaze Dance)
Limited - 8/10 (Close Combat is a decent option here and deals quick damage, while Blaze Dance works wonders here also)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Hint #2: Do you see other Infernapes played in Unlimited?)

I know! How about you lv this dude up and use Heatran Lv.X. It's perfect!

...It seems that every time they make an Infernape card, it gets more HP, but still, Regis_Neo basically said what I was going to say, so yeah...

Good card but it would be better if it was fire type because then you could play it with heatran lvx.

If you play the Lv. X it becomes a fire type and then can be used with Heatran Lv. X.

He's right, it's definitely from your deck, and not your discard. Huge difference on determining whether or not it's a worthwhile power.
