another quality dusknoir. shadow command lets you draw two cards, at the cost of two damage counters on dusknoir. there's an up side to the power, though, in the form of Damage Even, which places damage counters equivalent to what's on dusknoir, on any opponent's pokemon.
night spin does a meager 50 for three energy, but is a quality anti-kingdra attack, preventing all damage done to dusknoir by opponent's pokemon that has 2 or less energy attached.
the weakness is quality, falling victim only to tyranitar, and weavile techs. the resistance is pointless, with only garchomp reducing its damage. i would like to see the resistance be -30 given how, in the videogame, colorless pokemon cannot even damage ghost, and that there are no powerful colorless pokemon in the metagame.
retreat cost is rough, but moonlight stadium allows it to retreat for free, even if the stadium does conflict with dusknoir lv x.
8.5/10.

Love this card, hasn't failed me yet (except for a Tyranitar/Steelix deck anyways, which I only ost once to)
The draw support is great, while making the damage an upside, the 3 energy for 50 is bad but the effect severely pumps it up and I've Ko'd multiple decks with ease because of it.
With Gengar and Mewtwo X, it's a force to be reckoned with.
Also considering it has a great lvl X but hinders from what the last poster said, if you have Dusky X out you can't have moonlight...
9.2/10
limited- 6.9/10 (hey it's good in most formats...)

Awsome card\
allows drawing
dmage spread
some degree of protection with damage
plus an average 120 hp
it may have a three retreat cost but moonlight is a possibility
weakness is scarce apart from t-tar and resistance is nice
Overall an awsome card and a must for any dusknoir deck!

9/10 amazing card. Dusknoir would be nothing with out it. Once Claydols go out this and uxie are going to be next. Amazing counter to Kingdra and can snipe other peoples claydols. Very good ccard.

Hate to be redundant but this is an excellent card. Great for sniping in damage spread decks (although the other Dusknoir is a better principle spreader) and can be an alternative to Claydol. This card simply wrecks kingdra though 3 for 50 is a bit pricey. A pity moonlight stadium interferes with the lvX, because it does the high retreat cost definitely lowers this card rating.

Great card, a lot of people play this, only problem, if you get it very early, you cant do much except 20 snipe, 40 snipe and it gets better but unknown G hurts this alot.
Night spin kills T1 Machamp and T1 Kingdra, Get set-uper also,
9/10

By itself, this card is average. The only reason why it's in a top deck is its synergy with tother Noir's, the LvX, an specific techs.

...are you joking? REGIGIGAS, which has won either more or pretty close to the same number of CC's in Masters.

you're right. i did forget about regigigas. so then there are now two colorless pokemon that are played in modified.

I always wanted the Chill one since the prereleases, but I kept pulling this one. Now I'm loving this one more.
Draw into something AND do addition damage to anyone w/o Unown G attached? SURE!

OMG THIS IS THE BEST CARD EVER!!!!
It is so good with stuff like Bronzong and Gengar and Spiritomb. I personally like it the most out of all the Duskies.

Today's CotD is Dusknoir #1 from SF. Dusknoir today is one of the more top tier decks out there, combined usually with its buddy, Gengar (from SF also). Stat-wise, Dusknoir is solid for a Stage 2, with 120 HP (slightly less than average), a +30 Weakness to :dark: (great since :dark: is such an uncommon type for a deck), a -20 Resistance to :colorless (also great since Regigigas is one of the popular decks out there), and costs :colorless:colorless:colorless to Retreat (a bit expensive). Shadow Command is a decent Poke-Power, letting you draw 2, but comes at a cost, you have to discard cards until you have 6 if you have over 7, and Dusknoir gets 2 damage counters. However, it's still nifty to use in a pinch. Damage Even is a nice attack for :psychic::colorless, letting you place damage counters on any of your opponent's Pokemon equal to the damage on Dusknoir. Night Spin is a bit costly at :psychic::psychic::colorless for 50, but lets you avoid all damage and effects done to Dusknoir during your opponent's turn if they have less than 2 Energy attached (perfect counter for Kingdra).
In any aspiring Dusknoir deck, at least 2 of these should be used; it has all the right Weaknesses, Resistances, and effects to make it a great counter to many decks.
Modified - 9/10 (One of the top decks out there for a reason)
Limited - 8/10 (Hard to get out, but has good attacks and Poke-Power)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Not that useful)
