Now, Palkia G LV.X has a potentialy devastating Poke-Power. Thing is.....the owners of the Pokemon choose the Pokemon send to the Lost Zone.... O_O

Is there a way to force your opponent to remove the Pokemon you want him to remove from the game?

Kinda.

Well, you don't have a way to remove the exact pokémon (except for $20 or a mob) you want, but you can narrow down the options with pokémon that manipulates your opponent's bench (Palkia Lv.X, Zangoose, Metagross) by taking something that your opponent would obviously remove as active.

Lumineon SF might be good too. Drag some useless basic in, let them discard something from the bench.

There's a few combos, but it's not like dusknoir - you can't pin-point the main attacker and magically get a rid of it. It you could, the card would be utmost broken. Can you say Lost Zone your opponent's only Regigigas Lv.X? I'd do it.

I opened a booster, saw this card and was full of exitement.
Then I read it...

Its kinda lame - it may be useful if you have something on the bench that has no energy, loads of damage counters, and your opponent is hitting the bench (sniping?)
then you can get rid of that card. And avoid your opponent taking a prize card... thats all I can think of

I think it might be good to use as a tech against other G decks, seeing as they require many benched Pokémon.

Well it hurts speedrill.

3 Bees on the bench +1 claydol.
They have to kill off 1 of there bees
a.k.a. 30 of there damage or there
claydol. If they leave the claydol
you could actually snipe it for 80
and send his butt to the lost zone.

Tho thats really the most useful
situation I can think of lol

There's no real way to really influence them in the terms your speaking of, though if you pressure your opponent into thinking you have a certain play, they could pick a pokemon that was useless one minute, and priceless as soon as their turn started again.

I see no reason, what-so-ever, to run this over Dusknoir DP. Just wait for the rotation to put this card in a sleeve.

This card really isn't all that great. Dusknoir DP is the better of the two for bench control, where as Palkia X G may as well take a seat on the bench until the end of the season. With it not being able to choose who goes away, it's pretty useless right now...and will probably continue to be useless in the new format, for I can't see much benefit to the power.

As opposing side Bench Control, absolutely useless.

As support to get rid of unwanted Spiritomba, Pixies lacking SSU's so you can free your bench up for more useful pokemon after a good effect as been used/ Very yes.

Do NOT underestimate this pokemons power as he levels up from quite a fluid basic pokemon (50 + 10 bench for two feat Energy Gain? Very yes.), he's utility to make Spiritomb's unattacking butt go away or that stupid Azelf that hasn't done anything for a hundred turns. And he gives an already somewhat solid basic attacker 20 more HP's (in addition to Snowpoint amirite?) And he benefits from Poketurn and Bronzong G, so no, you won't be getting rid of him quite as easily as you might have hoped. Sorry for getting your hopes up. :3

Do not underestimate this guys ability. He's usable, just not in the way people are saying he should be used. Dusknoir is FAR better in disruptive quality. I doubt that's what Palkia came into existance for. (Forgetting Giant Stump so soon?) I mean, if he weren't a G Pokemon, then I would definitely say he's useless, but he's a G Pokemon, which makes him a lot better since he can combo with other G's and benefit from everything in which they stand for.

I've been wondering if it combos with Blastoise/Delcatty to any useful extent, as its Pearl Shot (3 energy, 50 to active, spread ten to their bench) and Hydro Shot (snipe 80) seem like perfect matches with Blastoise. (Not to mention you can get rid of your injured Cats without having to kill them off or use Blissey, though you won't be able to use them later)
Of course the space required to even fit it in is a massive problem, let alone any support like PokeTurn, etc.

Palkia G X with Spiritomb and other spreaders/snipers? PT came out with amazing X's, most notably Drapion, Dialga, and Palkia especially.

Can you say Claydsol snipe? Combo this with poketurn, powerspray, G supporters/trainers and you have one mighty card, don't forget energy gain!

I don't think it really is as viable with Blastoise/Catty as that is a whole concept of itself, plus you couldn't benefit from the diversity that the G Pokemon bring. Palkia is a solid basic on its own, but it can be assisted by many of the G Pokemon in general which definitely helps it against some decks (Machamp has nothing on Toxi G), and it synergizes extremely well with Spiritombs and Crobat G's, in addition to the Energy Gain's/Poketurns.

Palkia G should be played with nothing else though. On its own or as a tech its use is extremely limited to almost entirely useless. Its power is utility at best and its LX's attack (while fluid) can be quite hindering unless used as a finisher (Or to kill a critical Claydol).

I use him in my blastcatty deck, he comes in pretty handy. I can do 80 every turn or i can spread damage with pearl breath and t hen hit two guys for 60 and snag two prizes.

So other than getting rid of useless stuff on your side of the field, it's Power is pretty useless. I think it may hold more potential then I can think of atm but I'm sure it's not that good in this format.
