I agree with Po-Po-Pocchama. It is fairly bad, but T2 80 is pretty good.

7.3/10

Disagree. I'd call it the best Shaymin.

9/10

The one that lets you attach an energy from the hand is better and has 10 more HP.

I suppose in a deck that could cause special conditions, this would be a great back-up attacker, but Shaymin Lv X already is that.

I agree with the Supes, I think it's one of the best ones out there, the sleep condition can be a life saver. and if you have to atk with it your not stuck with a tails/fails atk. though the one where you have 10+(10 for each energy attached) isn't bad either.
I give it 85 (mod 10)

SHAYMIN!!! *squeals*

Anyways, of all the Basic Shaymin versions, this is the one I'd prefer. 70 HP is solid for a Basic, +20 Weakness to :fire: is ok since it's an uncommon deck atm, -20 Resistance to :water: is great if you find yourself facing a Kingdra, and costs a cheap :colorless to Retreat. Flower Aroma is a great attack for :grass:, dealing 10, removing 2 damage counters from Shaymin, and putting the opponent to Sleep; this can lead to some nice stalling potential early in the game should you begin with Shaymin. Damage Aid is a great follow-up to Flower Aroma if the opponent is still alseep; for :grass::colorless, you deal 30+ 50 if the opponent is affected by a status condition. You have to remove the special condition afterward, but it's fine since Damage Aid should ideally KO the opponent anyways.

Modified - 8/10 (My personal pick for any deck that uses a Shaymin tech line. Plus, it's so darn cute, what an adorable little hedgehog with a flower...)
Limited - 10/10 (Even if you don't draft a Lv X, this Shaymin is a great attacker and can stall with Flower Aroma until you can KO with Damage Aid)
Unlimited - 1/10 (I don't see Shaymin Lv X being used here too much, hence neither will a Basic be needed)

Wow, how could anyone cal this the worst Shaymin *Hugs it*

One energy, does ten damage removes 2 damage counters AND puts the defending pokemon asleep. three effects for one is amazing. = 3 points.

two engergys for 80damage, althought it stops the sleep if you use this attack correctly the defending pokemon will be KO'd from this attack.=2 points

70hp for a basic not bad. =1point

good resist = 1point

7/10
very good little staller. if used coorectly this card could really annoy you.

this shaymin works well in a poison deck....picture this,... attach a psychic energy to vileplume the defending pokemon is poisoned add 2+ to the poison for the weezings on your bench then here comes shaymin to eat em up for 80 if they survive the 80 damage the poison should take care of the rest.

Shamin Heals the poison (If I understood what you said correctly)

But I tried to use this with my poison deck, using Skuntank G, the 80 damage for 2 energies was very nice. But It left me poisoned and kinda fragile. Also, it took up some space for a different type of energy (I was using psychic).

For that reason, I wouldn't use this Shamin... Unless of course you have the LV X... Which would would go great with my grass deck (Tankgrowth)

rankings - i'm kinda noob, so I won't bother

Aww he's gorgeous! As opposed to the 80 HP sky form, I like this one. As aformentioned, he can stall if you start with him and a potential 80 for two doesn't sound all that bad to me.

Hmmm....

I smell a Blaziken/Shaymin/Cherrim Deck coming on. Blaziken, 2 Cherrim, and a Shaymin spells 100 Damage for :grass::colorless. ... yum.

i love this shaymin!!! for one NRG 10, damage removal, and sleep. does it get any better? granted it has its down sides like 70 HP, but wat the heck, stall with lucky sleep and then 80 with "damage aid". i was bored one day and thinking about "damage aid". SOOOO..... i resently build a shaymin/darkrai donk deck. i tested it at least 12 times and got the T2 80 going maybe 6 or 7 times. yes i know the deck idea is stupid and random but i like random decks that run off a little blind luck and some strategy!

all in all, i give it a 9 out of 10 and say will always say this is the best basic shaymin out there (until they make a better one;))

9/10

ill post thta deck list later this week or next week. when ever i get the chance.

This Shaymin is the second best Shaymin (IMO). The sky form beats this one out purely because it has energy acceleration which is likely to be amazing in any grass deck. It's first attack can be handy if you start with it since you can potentially render your opponent's starter useless if they don't get the flip for sleep. Removing two damage counters can be godd in very slect situations. The second attack would most likely require some support. Darkrai MD is a decent combo with this, turn two eighty. The resisitance is wonderful with Kingdra still being really popular, it couldn't be donked anyway but resistance just makes it laugh at T1 Kingdra more. The retreat is average and nothing to talk about. Fire weakness is actually a good thing since fire is rarely played thanks to Kingdra. Seventy HP is ten HP above average which is convenient but it probably won't matter a whole lot since you should be leveling it up as quickly as possible.

I also love the artwork on this card, the background is really nice.
