Hey everyone

I read a little something on serebii.net , that says that there are 2 new Unown that were added with the 26 current ones. Unown ! and ? is this true? The site also states that those pokemon were found in Ruby/Sapphire. How could this be?? Hope anyone knows the answer to this one.
Also a bit of news on serebii.net, a worker of the pokemon company stated that there was going to be a re-make of Red/Green versions which could trade with Ruby/Sapphire. Anyone know about that one too??

Bye

There are 2 new unown in the game, but they are unobtainable at the moment, just like all the other Unown (and the other 185 for that matter). They will probably be released sometime in the near future, most likely through Pokémon Colosseum for GCN.

I hadn't heard about the R/B/G remake. So, I won't comment, other than to say I doubt it.

I like the idea for the remake. It was posted on PokePale (a japanese site), but hasn't yet been mentioned on the official GameFreak website (for that matter they haven't posted anything related to pokemon other than some wallpapers for Windows on their site since Ruby/Sapphire came out last November).

Let's just hope they preserve the Running Shoes from Ruby/Sapphire(to have to walk all of that distance at normal speed again...)

EDIT: Err... the site is called Palette. the web adress is PokePale(dot com)

It would not be surprising to see a "Special Edition" for ruby and sapphire. It would probably be called Emerald or something like that. However, it is unlikely we will hear anything anytime soon. So just be happy with what we have.

Unown "!" and "?"? That sounds too weird but you never know. The trick is that the Unown never appeared in Ruby and Sapphire (directly) so the need for making new forms would seem pointless. However you never know. Pokemon Colleseum will allow you to catch older pokemon for your Ruby and Sapphire so we will see more of the crazy reality bending things.

Well,

There was a release date in Japan for Oct. 2003, but sources at Serebii.net say that this date is actually a magazine release which would include more info on the supposed Red/Green remake. I think the magazine is called the 5th Grader magazine. Well I will try to find out more, but it will be difficult since I don't know Japanese at all.

About the R/G remake, I can't say anything for sure yet, but I think it's true since it's an easy way to make more money.
And about the !? Unown, they really exist, they were found a long time ago through gameshark/gfx ripping. What I don't know is why they look bored, they don't have their eyes wide open like the old ones...

the RED/GREEN remake is not a rumor it's a fact. In Pokeomn Colloseum, you'll be able to catch the G/S/C Pokemon, and the remake will allow you to catch the R/B/Y Pokemon. I think they will inlcude other stuff in the remake, such as the new leveling up system using effort values, and many berries which are unobtainable right now, also it would be cool to finally get a legal shining charizard:) and a legal shiny articuno:). This is what I'm expecting, but I could be wrong :p

What do you mean by "legal" shiny Charizard and Articuno? Well, Articuno I get, but isn't it theoretically possible to breed a shiny Charmander and evolve it to Charizard?

Pablo
09/11/2003, 03:24 PM
oops your right :p its that since shiny pokemon have never liked me, and could never breed a shiny poke until yesterday, which i got a shiny feebas, i forgot you could breed a shiny charmander in G/S/C :p my bad sorry

Looks like we have some more bit of info on the new remakes of Pokemon Red (Fire) and Green(Leaf). It will probably be released early 2004 (Feb.) to celebrate the Red and Green anniversary. It is compatible with Colosseum and a picture has already been posted on serebii.net.

Now there might be more on these remakes sometime this week or next, so make sure you keep looking around for anything else.

See ya!!

PS Thanks for the info serebii.net!!!

Hello,

I've got more news on Pokemon Green(Leaf) and Red(Flame). Pokeschool. com post a link to some more pictures from a Japanese magazine. They look cool, and even show you some stuff on Pokemon colosseum(hope I spelled it right). Now I really can't wait to see what's in store for pokemon for 2003-04. There is also some pics on the battle e-cards. Well, I will try to look around for more news.

See ya

PS Thanks to Pokeschool for all the info!!!

If the R/G updated versions are going to be compatible with the R/S, do you think they will both be able to trade with each other. In R/S there aren't many of the originial 150 pokemon, so that might pose a problem. Is it also possible, if the R/G is a updated version, it might be able to trade with the G/S/C versions out now.

So maybe there might be a chance to get all pokemon with this upcoming game. I just hope this updated version allows any trading to go on, since it's a GBA game, not GB game like it's old self.

:) See ya :)

That's what compatible means, isn't it? If it's supposed to be "compatible" with R/S, then trading will work, but it probably won't be able to trade with the other, older games.

ChizardMasterTrainer, from the sounds of what you're saying, you don't know that Ruby/Sapphire has all the data for all the pokemon so far (whether they be available to capture in the game or not). So I'll tell you.

There's one thing I noticed in the screenshot from Fire Red/Leaf Green. The Charmander and the Bulbasaur have genders (both are male). So this new game has genders and probably the ability to hold items also.

CHARIZARD MASTERTRAINER
09/19/2003, 10:12 PM
Hey,

If you want to know more, than head to serebii.net. Also for that gender question, well you can also trade a pokemon, say geodude from the G/S/C versions(which do have a gender) and trade it to the old R/B/Y versions. So it's not gender that's a problem.

I will still believe that it will be possible to get all 251 pokemon from the past games, in the flame and leaf versions. Anyone else have a problem with this theory?

See ya

09/19/2003, 10:34 PM
yes I do,When you say trade a pokemon from G/S/C versions you can trade for a carmander in Yellow versions.

...Also for that gender question.......

I will still believe that it will be possible to get all 251 pokemon from the past games, in the flame and leaf versions. Anyone else have a problem with this theory?

Who asked about genders?

That's an interesting theory.. it could be possible.

Wow. Interesting Screenshot. But here's a question. Obviously, we all know that it was Red and Green in Japan, But is there a chance that it might be Red and BLUE here in America? Im just curious cuz America's first PKMN games were Red and Blue.

The Anaconda
09/20/2003, 08:56 AM
That's probably the case. It will most likely be known as Blue here, but they may preserve it as Green.

CHARIZARD MASTERTRAINER
09/21/2003, 04:46 PM
Well....

I think it's going to R/G here, only because there only remaking R/G in japan, not R/B. It will take a little more work for NOA if they decided to do R/B instead of following Japan, but who knows. For now I'm stickin with R/G.

CHARIZARD MASTERTRAINER

Now there is a prediction going on that P R/G is going to be released around the same time as Colosseum, which is early 2004, Pokemon Elite 2000 says around Feb. 2004, which seems right, I guess.

!!!!!!Important Update!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone.....

I have a special bit of news from serebii.net and it is very interesting. Apparently the remade versions of Flame Red and Leaf Green are going to have the Gender option like in G/S/C and R/S. Now people can pick between a boy or girl trainer. There will be images up soon so be on the look out at serebii.net.

Also in Colosseum news, in Scenario mode you will not be able to use your own pokemon from R/S, just ones that you caught in that mode. Also the region has been given a name.....Oore region.

This is very exciting and I can't wait
:eek:See ya

I ran acrossed this site while surfing the web. I read over a lot of the things that have been posted here and CHARIZARDMASTERTRAINER doesn't just have a theory. He is right. eventually you will be able to have the old or original pokemon on your Ruby/Sapphire games. I have 62 of the original pokemon on my Sapphire game now. They range from all of the starter pokemon Squirtle thru Totodile from the very rare Celebi, Mew, Mewtwo the rare birds Ho-oh Articuno... to the dogs and a lot that are just common that I enjoy battling with. I also have a ditto that I can breed pokemon to. Yes they have genders too. My pokemon are either imported from the Red Fire/Green Leaf Demo version released in Japan or the Japanese Ruby/Sapphire Johto/Kanto e-reader cards. Their stats and Japanese names had to be turned around to English. It will take a little while for all of this to hit the USA but it is coming. If you reserve a copy of the Pokemon Colosseum starting FEB. 9th you will receive a special disc that you can get the rare Jirachi and transfer im to your GBA/SP with your gameboy advanced cable. Just thought I would brighten your day a little.

The announced release date is January 28, 2004. Tomorrow (or perhaps today in Japan). Don't know if it will be released on time, though.

Hmm...

*wonders if his import site has any yet*

*sees that the import site is down*

Oh well, I'll check later then.

Anaconda EDIT: Okay, its up now. And they do have them and they are in stock. So it is out now.

Kyfogre22 (http://pokegym.net/member.php?u=611), can I ask a question that wont spoil the game..... or Lucky since you said you have one....

Will Ditto allow you to breed more Beldums, or any of the other genderles Ru/Sa pokemon (Baltoy, ect...)???

Elite Trainer Raven
01/28/2004, 11:43 AM
With Ditto, you could probably breed them with Baltoy and Beldum. Not entirely sure on Beldum since there's only one that you receive in Ru/Sa and is breeding with another Genderless Pokémon. Though, it may concern all Genderless Pokémon since they have no Egg Moves and are pretty much Genderless and fall into a No Egg Group. I could be wrong though. :\ So far, I haven't seen any Johto or Hoenn Pokémon in Fire Red.

Spectreon
01/28/2004, 11:56 AM
Well this is speculation on my part.... other genderless in old games (GSCRBY) could breed with Ditto, examples... Porigon, Magnemite, and Voltorb to name 3. Also Staryu.... 4. While they dont belong in an egg group per say, they do breed, though I believe it must be with Ditto only (could be wrong....). Somthing to do with Ditto's weird ability to form an oppissite gender even if it is not possible (female Tyrouge/Touros ect, male Jynx, Chansey, ect.)

If anyone knows for sure (having actually tried it) please let me know, one way or the other... thanx

Kyfogre22
01/28/2004, 02:25 PM
you can't breed anything genderless except ditto, period.

Spectreon
01/29/2004, 05:43 AM
are you reffering to Ru/Sa/FR/LG only, cause I have Shiney Porigon, Voltorb and Magnemite and Staryu that disagree with you from my Silver Cart. All were bred with Shiney Ditto.

Kyfogre22
02/09/2004, 09:33 AM
are you reffering to Ru/Sa/FR/LG only, cause I have Shiney Porigon, Voltorb and Magnemite and Staryu that disagree with you from my Silver Cart. All were bred with Shiney Ditto.

Anything can be duplicated by ditto. :/

And the fact that they are all shiny is a fluke. My shiny ditto doesn't have (all) shiny kids.

Elite Trainer Raven
02/09/2004, 11:35 AM
Actually, Shining Ditto has a higher chance of producing Shining offspring. It's all a matter of luck and how many eggs you're willing to hatch until you get one. The chances are higher if you breed Shining Ditto with another Shining Pokémon.
