- I satrted collecting in base set. I really had no idea how to play or what the cards even did, but i liked collecting them. My first card was a machop. In a condensed version of a rather long story, I traded a Mr. Potato-head for 10 rather common cards of the era. About five years ago, I left Pokemon behind me in life. However, it soon came back to me after two years. Now I play competitively, but am not that good at it.
