I would take out a Cubchoo for a Cleffa. If you don't have one, I would use Magby, Smoochum, or Aipom instead. You could also try a Bellsprout or Smeargle. You need a tech basic that you think would work best.

If you use Magby, you can Shut Off the active's Poke-Power. If you use Cleffa, you can set up better.

I'll try magby out. I'll see if it works well with the deck.

  6. #31
i don't thik you need more because you have spped and consitency with my list. May ou try it.

So. Would using Elekid and/or Pichu be wise?
    Here is the Pokemon line:

    3-1-2 Vileplume/Bellesom
    2-1-2 Serperior Ability
    1-1 Dodrio (retreat aid)
    1 Elekid
    1-1 R&S Legend
    4-4 beartic (3 sheer cold/1 icy wind)
I'm trying it this build w/out Zekrom

I like Magby better because burn stacks, I have not tried out Elekid though. I would consider Revenge Bouffalant to even out prizes or Sunflora (HGSS) to move ahead in the set up.

I think Sunflora would be a little much. I'm a little iffy about Bouffalant.
I have some more changes to go through and I'll post it up later.

    Pokemon:
    3-1-3 Vileplume/Bellesom
    2-1-2 Serperior Ability
    1-1 Dodrio (retreat aid)
    1 Pichu
    1-1 R&S Legend
    4-4 Beartic (3 sheer cold/1 icy wind)

    energy:15
    4
    3 Rainbow
    8

    t/s/s:
    3 Rare candy
    4 communication
    2 twins
    1 Cheren
    1 FSL
    3 collector
    4 copycat

So this is what i have so far. I still have to test it out but this is it.
    2 juniper.

  11. #36
I am wondering if 4 Copycat is a good idea with N, Judge, and Yanmega Prime? It could be, I tend to underrate Copycat. The trainer lock should help. I hear the Icy Wind Beartic could actually be better.

Have you taken this deck to any tournaments?

I don't have PONT so until I get that card Copycat is a substitute.
I have been sick this and last week so I couldn't go to Regional.

Should I take out Serperior Line and put in something like Blissey Prime w/seeker?

If you want to play Blissey, I would play 1-1 Blissey Prime with Seeker. Or, if you have enough room to fit in Rescue Energy with the pokemon line, you could play 2-2 Blissey (one prime, one non-prime). Blissey non-prime is great if you are playing a long game and have run out of attackers. Its first attack does not do a lot of damage, but it will stay in the game for a while, especially with trainer lock. I like Dodrio a little better in Vileplume though.

If I go the 1-1 Blissey Prime route, how many seekers should i run?

If you are playing 1-1 Blissey Prime, 2 Seeker is expected. I was thinking Spiritomb and Ditto (Triumphant) could be nice Seeker pokemon as well.

    -1 Comm
    -1 Copycat or Cheren
    +2 Twins

That should work. I don't think you need as many Communications if you are playing that thick of a Beartic line.

    Good luck!

Okay, so I have done some research on upcoming and dominating decks. How should I change this list around to stand against the meta?

I would be concerned about Chandelure/Jirachi Vileplume (since you are playing a Vileplume deck yourself),
Durant, and Kyurem/Electrode/Cobalion. Cobalion could be a problem for Beartic, but your opponent does not get to pick who gets dragged up. You know if you can borrow a Kyurem at a tournament that would not be a bad idea. Otherwise go with Zekrom. This may be risky, but I would say play the meta as part of your deck somewhat to see what can be part of your deck, at the same time you are playtesting somewhat against other archetypes if you know how to use them. If you have a Redshark or anything like that, this would be a good time to playtest. I don't know the matchups unfortunately, there's always a surprise factor that gives an edge for newer cards.

After looknig at Scans and what not, How 'bout adding in Kyerum EX and Moltres/with Fire from NEXT destinies?

    ---------- Post added 12/14/2011 at 04:29 AM ----------

After looking at some scans, what about adding in Kyerum EX and Moltres w/fire energy? Possibly replacing the Legend
    and something else.

OH also changes: -2 Juniper, +2 Cheren.
I found myself in a situation where I had a full hand of good cards with a Juniper in hand also

you definitely need a 4-4-4 serperior line.. and take out rare candy, it sucks

  25. #50
Why do I need a 4-4-4 line of Serperior? With my build, its just fine.
    Also why does serperior suck??

EDIT: I mean rare candy. Why does Rare candy suck?
