1st post. . . Yay I won the lottery. . .
Average card to be honest. Power is nice though, weakness is bad. |

This card can help make a really really good deck! Though 90 hp isn't very good, there are other cards that work really well with this one card. For it's pokepower, i'd give it 5/10. For a card by itself its only so-so. But in a Undevelop Deck, its a 9/10

It's a decent card. 80 HP is lame but it can like I said above, if anyone ever uses it again, it can have 120 HP with the help of expert belt and MD Espeon. 60 and burn is cool and even better when expert belt is attached to it for 80 and burn. Undevelop allows you to Devolve and Revolve it to reuse Evolving Flare's power increase and burn. +20 weakness to water is not bad, no resistance but that's what you should expect on a fire Pokemon and the retreat cost of 1 is great. I give this card a 7/10. |

This card is so much fun in an Undevelopeon deck. It's one of the best, in my opinion.
7/10. |

I really like this card and how the whole Undevelop Deck works. I'd give it a 7/10 only within that deck. Outside of that deck its pretty awful. Overall 5/10

Hmmm...indeed, Flareon can be interesting.
The ability to De-evolve by itself may be bad, but this ability helps alot. Using BTS, you can re-evolve your Eevee to Flareon for really good effects. Well, Tail Slap does a simple 30, but Evolving Flame is the attraction of this card. By evolving into Flareon (which can be done a lot thanks to the power and BTS, as it was mentioned earlier) you can slam the defending for 60 and burn them. Put a belt on Flareon and it can hit for 80 and can have 100 HP compared to 80 HP, which is a downside of this Flareon. The weakness isn't the best because of Palkia G, but the retreat cost is OK. Overall 7/10 in modified Indeed, Flareon isn't a bad card at all. It can one-shot Dialga G, which is pretty nice. The low HP is really what holds this Flareon back. Vaporeon RR and Jolteon RR are even better than it. |

Flareon is the core of an Undevelop deck. It strikes for the highest straight-forward damage without question (though later in the game, Jolteon gives it competition). It's got below-average HP that makes it annoyingly difficult to keep alive, but the fast, high damage output (I did 80 t2 three times in six rounds with this card) is amazing.
7.4/10. If only the format was a little more kind to these guys! |

+1 for being an Eeveelution (everybody loves Eevee)
+1 for being part of a cutesy gimmick deck with that Undevelop Power +1 for the so-so Eeveelution support (Espeon and Umbreon) +2 for the Basic Eevees being pretty decent +3 for having pretty good cheap attacks -1 for horrific HP -1 for Undevelop needing BTS and not being possible after one decent hit on Eevee -1 for 60 + Burn not being anything special after T2 = 5/10 |

Why is BTS needed? What are the rules for de-evolving?
I think this card is pretty cool. HP could be better, but so could lot's of things about this game. *shrugs* I've yet to hear of a perfect card. Weakness is kay, attacks are cool, resistance is usual, and retreat is neat. Nice poke-power and supporting attack. 8/10. It'd be cool if they made an Eevee that had the same ability as all the Arcues. I'm sure we'd see a lot more Eevelution decks out there. |

Today's CotD (finally back to posting on my laptop, posting on the PSP was sooo annoying) is Flareon from RR, a fun card to use in the modern Eeveelutions deck. Statwise, 80 HP is a bit low (10 less) than the common 90, +20 Weakness to
hurts, no Resistance is common, and to Retreat is cheap. Undevelop is the funky Poke-Power the newer Eeveelutions cards use, and it is kinda fun in theory, allowing for flexibility when you devolve back into Eevee for either a new form or attack benefit. Tail Slap is nicely priced at for 30, no complaints here. Evolving Flame deals a so-so 40 for ![]() initially, but if you evolved from Eevee this turn, it turns into a respectable 60 and Burn for ![]() .Modified - 6/10 (Tech in for most Eeveelution decks to take advantage of Weakness, should be able to OHKO most evolved Pokemon weak to it with some sort of attack boost and Lake Boundary/Lucario GL/. On its own, not that great, but guaranteed Burn is nice)Limited - 8/10 (Great first attack, second attack works well also) Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here) |

Don't underestimate this card. Many opponents did, including a Glistomb deck at a cities. Because if you do, it will punish you for it. I ran this deck for a while. 80 hp is bad, but I increased it with Espeon and Expert belt, yes the weakness is bad, but why would you be trying to beat Gyrados with flareon anyways? When properly used (which is when the defending pokemon has a weakness to fire, and lucario Gl in play and belt.) it can do up to 160 damage, plus burn. Even if you don't evolve that turn you can do 120. Which is nice. It also was my attacker of choice when I couldn't exploit weakness. It did hamper the damage output, but 80 damage 2HKOs most of the format and with 120 max hp, it isn't likely to get OHKOed by anything that isn't water. Don't underestimate this card.
In undelopeon deck, 9/10 Otherwise 2/10 |

I don't understand what's the point of this power if you cannot evolve it back on the same turn you de-volve it.
I know the rule is that you cannot evolve again within the same turn you de-volve it (without BTS). After I heard about this ruling, I took apart my Eevee deck. So much for that. |

Flygon + Sand Wall = Daunting Task, to keep any Stadium card in play. Most players will Sand Wall even a good card away, mainly because they can.
