Lugia vs. Steelix

In a deck utilizing Blastoise ex's Energy Rain, which is better to focus your deck upon? Lugia ex or Steelix ex? I was curious and looking into building the deck myself and trying to figure out what everyone else thinks!

yeah

Steelix is great 80% of the time but Lugia is the key in many important match to kill 10+hp

Scizor
Nidoqueen
TTar
Salamance delta
Ttar delta
Machamp

it's a great addition to steelix cuz it has a different type (and even resistance to fight)

you mean hes weak to fightin and resistant to grass and lightning. The best thing about LBS i think is it pretty much pwns queendom which is prolly one of the most pop. and powerful decks in the format regardless of what giant stump does. It just kills queendom that it can't toxic steelix and steelix can jus pik off the pidgeot which gets queendom set-up. Sure the weakness plays a factor its still more in the favor of LBS.

I observed that top UK players lpay it with 4 Lugia, 4 Pokemon Reversal, and Latias*, no searcher.

You definitely need to build the deck around Steelix ex because if don't, this deck really isn't worth building. Steelix ex is incredible in this deck because it hits anything for 100. At least 1 Lugia ex should be added for it is a huge weapon.
So basically what I am saying is, you can build the deck around just Steelix ex and it would be a good deck. I wouldn't build it just around Lugia ex because it is to easy to KO and you don't need to do 200 damage to everything. The right play is focusing around Steelix ex and throwing a in Lugia ex or 2. If you know how to set this deck up quick it is a force.

I'd say both... Which one to use really depends on the deck.
