Foreign Cards
I tend to be a fan of non-english cards, mostly japanese. Is there a limit as to how many I can play? Can I play a full deck of jpn cards? I am sure some people might get aggravated from having to read my trnaslations, but I don't play too much rogue, and I'm more attracted towards popular cards and trainers in foreign language than anything... so is there an actual limit as to how many cards I can play? (I know I MUST sleeve them)
Speaking of sleeves, which kind can I not use? What does PUI define as "art", can I use the ones that have a lightning bolt on the back? It isn't really art... just a shield with a bolt on it, it's not even shaded...and does that mean I cannot use "Holo" sleeves either? -Thanks! |

You'll have to have reference cards or card dex pages for each and every foreign card in your deck.
Also, if you get behind on prizes, you won't be able to stop your opponent from taking time to read those reference cards so they're sure of what you have in play. A judge won't be sympathetic to you complaining about the time they're taking. Art is any and all art. A shield with a lightning bolt is art. Reflective sleeves are no nos. Patterned sleeves where the pattern shifts from one card to the next are no nos. The only art allowed are official Pokemon art where the edges are solid colored, like the Pokemon Center sleeves. |
