Regice move set and EVs.

O.K. First off, no spam. Spammers will be asked to leave. Now, what is a good move set and EVs for Regice? I think

Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave
Explosion/Rest

with leftovers, but don't know the EVs I should have. I do have aces to DP moves it learns naturally, but not TM moves. Here's my Regice

Lv. 40 Nature: relaxed (no, I can't get a different set of IVs or nature, I'm stuck with this one.)

EDIT: I do have aces to the first 50 TMs.

Well I personally really like the following:

Charge Beam
Ice Beam
Rest
Sleep Talk

with 252 HP 252 Defense 6 Defense EV's.

This set allows Regice to act as a wall, but also can provide you with sweeps. I've swept many times with this on my Hail team.

Thanks Pablo. But for the 6 defense evs, did you mean 8 SD? When you do 252 in 2 stats, I thought you got 8. But, I'll do that. It sounds really good. If you could give me the basic strategy with that move set, you can lock this thread.

Yeah I meant Special Defense sorry, and no not 8, 252 + 252 + 8 = 512, and the maximum possible EV's is 510.

Well basically, you wall alot of Special Attackers, jsut be sure to pack a Rapid Spinner as well. Just use Charge Beam and Ice Beam depending on what you're facing, and Rest when needed. Sleep Talk ensure thigns can't come in and freely set up on you whil you sleep.

EVs: 200 HP, 58 ATK, 252 DEF

Moveset

Ice Punch
Thunder Punch
Hammer Arm
Curse

And this works for me

While Pablo's set works wonderfully fine, you may want to take advantage of your Regice's perfect Atk and Def stats with a more unorthodox Curse set:

-Curse
-Counter
-Avalanche
-Explosion/EQ/T-Punch

With an EV spread of 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD.

Having that potentially perfect Atk and Def, this set fully lets your Regice be a great wall and get in lots of damage. Obviously, you'll want to switch it in where you can get in a Curse or two and Counter any physical hits for an OHKO. Avalanche gives you STAB and is almost guaranteed to go last since you'll be Cursing for full power. The last move is mainly filler; Explosion lets you go out with a bang, EQ or T-Punch for coverage. I guess you could also go with Rest if you like staying around longer as well.

I'd strongly give this set consideration because your Regice lacks good HP, SpD and SpA IVs, which are more of the highlights of a successful RestTalker set (Charge Beam would solve your poor SpA score, but it takes time) and underutilizes your nice Atk and Def IV scores. Not to mention that this set theoretically gives you more hurting power against Blissey as well, which almost everyone will bring in if they see a Regice.

That could work and try the one you like best. I really have to try Counter on my Regice, That could work.

Yeah. If your using Regice with Curse, give it Hammer Arm. I think Pokemon coming from Emerald are the best.

I do to. You can keep cloning them over and over, just giving your D/P game unlimited of any item/pokemon you want.
