Would you like your pokemon Mashed or Doomed?

20 Pokemon:
4 LA Jirachi
4 LA Beldum
2 LA Metang
4 LA Metagross
2 GE Baltoy
2 GE Claydol
1 DP Magnemite
1 DP Magnezone

23 Trainers:
3 Roseanne's Research
3 Bebe's Search
4 Rare Candy
3 Switch
2 Night Maintainance
2 Cynthia's Plan
4 Professor Oak's Visit
2 Technical Machine TS-1

17 Energy:
4 Call Energy
4 Spec. Metal Energy
9 Bas. Metal Energy

Strategy: Meteor Mashdown with Metagross, using his power to pick what I wish to kill off. Magnezone allows for free retreat whilst Jirachi is an awesome setupper who might get a surprise KO in.

Beh. Translations for those who find finding them is too much work:

Jirachi LV.42 – Steel – HP70
Basic Pokemon

[.] One Wish: Choose 1 card from your deck and shuffle the rest of your deck. Then, place the chosen card on top of your deck.
[M][M] Doom Desire: Discard all Energy attached to Jirachi. At the end of your opponent's next turn, the Defending Pokemon is Knocked Out.

Weakness: Fire (+20)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 1

Beldum LV.9 – Steel – HP50
Basic Pokemon

Poke-Power: Metal Chain
You can use this Power once during your turn, when you attach a Metal Energy from your hand to this Pokemon. Search your deck for a Beldum and play it on your Bench. Shuffle your deck afterward. This Power can't be used if this Pokemon is affected by a Special Condition, or if Energy is attached as an effect of an attack or Poke-Power.

[M][C] Take-down: 30 damage. Beldum does 10 damage to itself.

Weakness: Fire (+10)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 2

Metang LV.24 – Steel – HP80
Stage 1 – Evolves from Beldum

[C][C] Agility: 20 damage. Flip a coin, if heads prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to Metang during your opponent's next turn.
[M][C][C] Metal Claw: 50 damage.

Weakness: Fire (+20)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 2

Metagross LV.58 – Steel – HP120
Stage 2 – Evolves from Metang

Poke-Power: Magnetic Reversal
You can use this Power once during your turn. Flip a coin, if heads choose 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon and switch it with your opponent's Active Pokemon. This Power can't be used if this Pokemon is affected by a Special Condition.

[M][C][C] Meteor Mash: 50 damage. If Metagross uses Meteor Mash during your next turn, the base damage is 100 instead of 50.

Weakness: Fire (+30)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 3

I'd use a tech TM1 for Jirachi to search and Metagross or something to use before it has enough energy. A safe option against a wager happy deck.

Good idea, added 2 of those. It is indeed safer as seeking out that Claydol/Metang/Whatever poke.

Brilliant!!!

Never thought about that, though I'd rather go out of the trouble to get 2 cards w/ furret.

well you can attach AM coin to your active metagross as well, qhich in that way makes it better than furret for the simple fact that you have the extra constant draw.

Yes but Furret is a Stage 1 that you have to get the basic for. Jirachi is just a basic that can get you cards and that you can start with.

I probably would, if:
1 - I had room for it
2 - I had a way to seek out tools
3 - Pachirisu won't be popular next format.

nice, a good list for metagross, i love it. i wanted to build it when i saw the translations remebering the ex metagross. im glad they are remaking it and its power is deadly taking out claydol and stuff when they are trying to get re set up.
i would make these changes though

-1 call energy
+1 basic metal
- 1 switch
+1 bebe

You need to include a translation for any card not yet released, or I'll have to close your thread. Thanks

I prefer keeping those Calls in. I might add an additional Bebe, what with the Magnezone and all.

Furret is good yes, but I dont like the idea of getting a Stage 1 out to set up.

True, and the fact that it doesnt require a Sentret.

Phione is of no use when Jirachi is that good in getting whatever I want.
