Beedrill needs at least 2 Stage 2's out to do anything decent, and even then you need a PP or Buck to 2HKO a Kingdra. Kingdra, on the other hand, needs 1 stage two, and starts stampeding attacks that 2HKO Beedrill and after 4 attacks, kill off Claydol. If you ever get to the point of a OHKO (whichI doubt from the rush Kingdra puts on), Kingdra can OHKO you with zero energy. I definantly agree with something around a 30-70 match up.

Beedrill is still good for these reasons:
1. A good list can set up 3-4 Beedrill T3-T4 very consistently
2. Most Things can't one shot beedrill, which means you can retreat (and if they can they are one shotted back)
3. It can recover faster than almost any other deck it's so easy for me to get a beedrill back every turn one gets KO'd
4. It makes the most out of claydol because of the dozens of trainers it runs.
5. It has the highest damadge output per energy of any card
6. With Bucks/Plus Power it OHKO's anything but torterra which IMHO is an easy matchup even w/o the OHKO
7. The common fire pokemon that are pplayed are Magmortar, Flareon, and Typhlo. Mag one shots you for 4 energy Ty 3+ lake boundry, Flareon 3 Plus + boundry you one shot them all for one and can recover better

All that being said i'll give beedrill one big big downside its really suceptible to cards being prized

so yea i think its tier 1.

It looks like a bad matchup on paper, but it really is quite winnable. I'd say it's about 50-50, at least in my testing.

Speedril cant really do anything to dusknoir SF (stormfront aka IFDS). The second attack is kinda made for countering these speedy decks

Beedril vs bellosom
I think the best thing beedril has is the energy cost. It might seem irrelevant for 1 extra energy to attack, but in a real game, the ability to recover is crucial. 1 energy might cause you to end your turn w/o attacking.

Thing Bellossom has over Beedrill is Vileplume. See, Bellossom doesnt worry that much if it has one Oddish and a Bellossom prized. They Azelf the Oddish, and go on their merry way using a Vileplume. Beedrill, should it find a Weedle and a Beedrill prized, is royally screwed.

That, and Bellossom boasts Water resistance. And can use Multi-Energy Vileplume, should it find the time to do so, to inflict Sleep and Poison. And it can inflict a Burn.

And oh, should you not have Claydol, try the Elm engine. It works wonders in my Bellossom build, so I figure it should work in Beedrill too.

Yes well if you attach energy to Vileplume instead of Bellossom, you will be behind on energy attachments to your attacker.

Beedrill is better than Bellossom simply because of the energy cost. In swarm decks, the lower the energy cost, the better.

Ready to play when you are!

Thats like also when people made Flu to beat Flaridos...and Flaridos beat it IMO...

I think crazy speed with lower energy cost and reletively high HP should beat anything, unless you get a torterrible hand!

I think it will be when we get shaymin LV X, 150 swarming bees doing 120 damage a turn for an energy is SICK.
