Lol really? Do they think that 1000+ Pokemon fans will proceed to the pairings in an orderly fashion? If it happens, I commend them. If not, I won't be surprised.

Really?
This is like going to school with rules where to sit. How silly this is! Can they just do what they did last year? We can talk to our friends before the tourney. Doing this, we get nothing out of it. |

What about Professors who may be in the Professor Cup during the preregistration time?
Quote:
Consider the time it takes to have a group of friends all find a spot to sit vs the time it takes to have players go to a preassigned seat. The latter sounds faster. Groups of friends also have a tendancy to not all be seated in a seat when asked or even rearrange the seats, which creates issues with attendance checking.

^Nope, I've never seen "seating" assignments for prereleases. We sit by our friends, talk and say "I got the line," build and play. I've never seen them say, "Now children, please sit down, Johnny, right here please, ALEX, get over here in this particular chair."
It would make more sense to just have a line, check the deck in, get your goodies, and go have a seat. Whenever they(the judges) want to speak to us, they simply ask to grab a seat or just simply pay attention. This can be done by standing up. No worries though, I am griping about something dumb so I'm done:P It's not a big deal though, I am excited for Nationals. |

Well, for those of you who don't work the event, it seems tedious. For those that do work the event, it is a blessing.
It seems like every time TCPi comes out with something to enhance a tournament,
For goodness sakes folks, cut the TCPi and Staff folks some slack. This is a FREE event that you all have the privilege, not right, to be part of. |

I would like to know if we want our deck checked before the event who should we talk to. I expect that if that is the case we can always ask a Judge or a member of TPCi about it at the event.

Thanks, Lucario EX.
PokeDaddy, I'm sure your post sounds a lot more harsh than you intended. Consider revising, please.

Pokémon TCG US National Championships Registration Process Players who have won a travel allowance or Travel Award to the U.S. National Championships will be required to register for the event per the process outlined here. These players will receive priority registration via the travel stipend pick-up line. All players who have won a Regional Travel Award or a State travel stipend should use this line to register regardless of whether they have a stipend or reimbursement to pick up. While we anticipate being able to accommodate all players, seating is not guaranteed, and we encourage all players to use the preregistration times available on Friday evening. Players are to have completed registration slips prior to getting in line. Players with illegible or incomplete registration slips will not be registered and will have to complete a new form and enter at the back of the line. Registration slips can be picked up at the tournament desk anytime until registration closes. Nationals Player Preregistration Process Preregistration begins at 4 P.M. on Friday and will close at 8 P.M. 1. Players must have legibly completed their event registration slips with their name, date of birth, POP ID, and correct age division. You may only register yourself, and you must be present to register. 2. Proceed through the line to the check-in table, where a staff member will verify that all necessary information has been provided. 3. After your registration slip has been accepted, you will be given a Player’s Responsibilities sheet, and a Nationals T-shirt Claim ticket. 4. Read the Player’s Responsibilities sheet, and proceed to the t-shirt pick-up area to get your competitor t-shirt. 5. A player roster will be posted at approximately 8:30 P.M. on Friday. You must check this roster to assure that no errors have been made in entering you into the tournament. If you have not verified that you are on the roster prior to 8:30 A.M. on Saturday and you do not appear on the roster, you will be treated as a late player. 6. Be back in the hall and seated in your assigned seat for the players’ meeting by 9:30 A.M. on Saturday. Make sure you have your completed deck list with you at this time, as it will be collected during the players’ meeting. Players who are not seated for the players’ meeting or who do not have their deck lists ready for pick up at this time will be dropped from the tournament. Day-of-Nationals Player Registration Process 1. Though the official registration times are 8:00 A.M.–9:00 A.M., players may get in line in the TCG Event Hall as early as 7:30 A.M. Event staff will begin registration early, if possible. To proceed through registration, your registration slip must be completed. You may only register yourself, and you must be present to register. 2. Go to the Check-In table. Your registration slip will be taken. 3. After your registration slip has been accepted, you will receive a Player’s Responsibilities sheet. 4. You are expected to review and follow all regulations on the Player’s Responsibilities sheet. 5. Be back in the tournament area no later than 9:30 A.M. and check the player roster for your name and seating assignment for the players’ meeting. National Championships Players’ Meeting Players who have registered will be listed on the player roster alphabetically and will be assigned a table number for the players’ meeting. All registered players must verify that they appear on the player roster prior to the players’ meeting. Players should proceed to their assigned seats and are to have their deck lists completed and ready for pick up by staff at the time of the players’ meeting. At 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, all players are expected to be in their assigned seats with a completed legible deck list. At this time, event staff will conduct a players’ meeting to cover details of the event. Players not seated or without deck lists for the players’ meeting will be dropped from the tournament. National Championships pins and promos will be distributed to all players during the players’ meeting. Upon completion of the players’ meeting, players will be instructed to proceed in an orderly fashion to the pairing boards to find their positions for round one.
