Daily Pokemon Card
This just sounds fun. ^ ^
So, I'm going to make a card for a randomly determined Pokemon every day. I'll usually boost NFEs to their full evolution stage, but otherwise, I'll try to be honest with you about what I pick. Whee! 1/31/10|| Jynx 2/1/10|| Ariados 2/2/10|| Gastrodon 2/3/10|| Lickilicky 2/4/10|| Kabutops Σ 2/5/10|| Clefable Σ 2/6/10|| Uxie Σ 2/7/10|| Alakazam 2/8/10|| Kingler Σ 2/9/10|| Manectric Σ 2/10/10|| Girafarig 2/11/10|| Granbull + Power Charge 2/12/10|| Glalie Σ 2/13/10|| Infernape Σ 2/14/10|| Togekiss 2/15/10|| Steelix 2/16/10|| Breloom Σ 2/17/10|| Garchomp Σ 2/18/10|| Electivire Σ 2/19/10|| Glaceon Σ 2/20/10|| Leafeon Σ also includes foundation supporters 2/21/10|| Ursaring 2/22/10|| Dragonite Σ Jynx lv. 35 ||| 80 HP ![]() Basic Pokemon Hypnotic AllureDiscard a energy attached to Jynx, then choose one of your opponent's Pokemon. Gastrodon lv. 27 ||| HP 90 ![]() Stage 1: Evolves from Shellos Sticky HoldAs long as Gastrodon is your Active Pokemon, if the Defending Pokemon's Retreat Cost is more than the number of energy attached to Gastrodon, the Defending Pokemon can't retreat. In further self-defense, Pokemon doesn't seem to care about individuality either, because Gallade 4, Zangoose PL, and Kabutops MD not only have the same attack, they also do the same thing (except damage changes) and they also are all in the same format. Look deeper into the Unlimited format and you'll find that there are a huge selection of attacks that have simply been reused from old cards. When you're making a single card, keeping the ideas interesting and unusual is much easier. When you're expected to churn out something interesting on a daily basis, it gets unrealistic quite quickly. That's why many Pokemon cards have some feature that aren't terribly interesting (example: Blissey Prime's Strength attack). Save Sand is also the same as Happy Chance from Blissey MT. By the way. =============================================== Lickilicky lv. 41 ||| 100 HP ![]() Stage 1- Evolves from Lickitung GrappleOnce during your turn, you may move a damage counter from Lickilicky to the Defending Pokemon. This power can't be used if Lickilicky is affected by a special condition. ![]() Slam 50Lickilicky does 20 damage to itself. ![]() ![]() Wring OutCount the number of damage counters on the defending Pokemon. The following information has been added: =============================================== Well, here we are with the first Σ Pokemon I've decided to make. (Originally it was δ. But that was delta. I facepalmed.) Σ Pokemon are pretty simple - it's a twist off of the delta species mechanic. They have some cards that work specifically with them, but what's most unusual is that they use energy types completely unrelated to their own type (which is unchanged), allowing them to be mixed into decks that normally couldn't run a Pokemon of that type without a convoluted energy line. They seem like fun. Here's today's! =============================================== Kabutops Σ lv. 45 ||| 110 HP ![]() Stage 2 - evolves from Kabuto Steel ShellAs long as Kabutops Σ has any Energy attached to it, reduce all damage done to Kabutops Σ by 20.![]() Crush Claw 40+Flip a coin. Yes, it's a super tank. It's lots of fun.

hey
i just noticed that all of the E cards use Energies that are the opposite of their types. For example: Clefable's weakness is
(x2) and u had it so that he uses 1 Energy in his attack. i just recomend that u start to use different types so it's not always their opposites.

So... do Sigma Species evolve, or are they like Pokémon SP?

They are similar to δ Pokemon, except their evolution lines aren't Σ as well (I haven't been including evolution stages, sorry, I'll go add all that in). Σ represents a specialization/training, in using energy of different types.

Garchomp is ground type... why would the Sigma Species use Fighting (ground) Energy?

All Garchomp cards thus far are Colorless type.
Also, because I said so. Since when does Garchomp have resistance ?

What is Garchomp Σ's type anyway (just to clarify)? Unless it's
, you're contradicting yourself based on your definition of Sigma Pokemon. Also the Resistance is odd (especially since you never indicated that a Sigma Pokemon can have varied W/R than their non-Sigma counterparts). The card is not really broken (as compared to some cards I see posted in this forum ). |

AAAAAAGH I KEEP FORGETTING THE TYPE >_< lol sorry. Thank you! Quote:
now that I'm more awake. -_-" Sorry about the attitude there, Cardz. His energy type was deliberate, though. It stays, even though in some technical sense it isn't different from normal - I just have yet to see a Garchomp that uses anyway. I consider it primary Dragon. And compared to the rest of my cards that I'm trying really hard to keep relatively balanced... Garchomp Σ, along with any poke-power poison and Ariados, is really kinda scary. =D Back to back posts merged. Reduce by 20.
But reducing by 20 and healing 40 is pretty insane tank. Hmm, if someone posts a suggestion for today's Pokemon before I decide to roll one up~, I'll take my favorite suggestion and make a bunch of trainers too~ |
