There really isn't much to say about this card. No power, no body, no effects on his attacks, this is a pretty bland card.
No reason to use him outside of league, incredibly non-competitive play.
5/10?

If DCE could be usable on him he would be decent. I still give it 9/10 for artwork though

Ehhhh.... now this card isn't that interesting compared to Combee.

90 HP is great for a stage 1. Fire weakness is good, the psychic resistance is OK, and so is the retreat cost.

This card doesn't seem to do much in particular. Its first attack does 50 for two, and the second attack does 80 for three. I would say this card is the equivalence of Arcanine HS as both don't do much, but they could do some damage at least, but here, it is too bad Scizor can't abuse DCE, but it can at least use special metals.

Overall 1/10 in modified, 6/10 in limited, and 1/10 in unlimited

In modified, I can't see this card doing much. Sure it can hit for some nice damage, but it isn't that fast since it can't use DCEs well, and many cards are better attackers than it. Scizor Prime is definitely a better attacker compared to it, and even though Scizor could create some tanking potential, Dialga G seems to do a better job. Thus, I doubt this card is going to do that well in a format like this.

In limited, this card sees a nice boost. Well, it may not look like a good attacker, but similar to Arcanine in HS, this card can be a nice attacker for metal decks. Moreover, it can use special metals too, so it does have some better tanking potential compared to other cards. I definitely see this card as a good option for metal decks here, but in UD, we still have some better attackers, so this explains why this card isn't an 8/10.

In unlimited, like modified, this card won't do a lot. Here, we have some way better attackers to use, like Scizor EX. Moreover, it isn't fast compared to other cards once again. For this reason, I really don't think this card will have much potential in unlimited.

If this was dce compatible I think it would see some play in a scizor prime deck, but other than that it's pretty useless.

It is ok, if only Scizor Prime didn't have more HP, a Pokebody, and hits harder for both 2 energy and 3 energy.

1/10 because it's just worse.

Scizor from undaunted, my initial reaction upon pulling this card was dissapointment. Dissapointment that a holographic (of which there are only 10 in the set) could have such a boring power. Scizor has 90 HP as a Stage 1 which is average, although Scizor Prime from the same set has 100 (comparisons to Scizor Prime are inevitable). Weakness, Resisitance and retreat also stock standard. There honestly isn't much to say for this card, 2 for 50 and 3 for 80. There are better Pokemon out there that do better damage and have powers on the side as well, this thing just does nothing. There is really no circumstance where this Pokemon could fill a niche that another couldn't do better.

There's not much to say about this card, but not entirely useless. 3/10

Today's CotD is Scizor from UD, pretty much the non-Prime one no one ever heard of or cares about. Statwise, 90 HP is average for a Stage 1, x2 Weakness to is eh, -20 Resistance to is useful, and to Retreat is cheap. Cut deals a basic 50 for , and Metal Claw is ok at for 80. Pretty much pure vanilla...

Modified - 2/10 (No real reason to use him, he's just a plain beatstick)
Limited - 8/10 (Very solid option here with nice attacks)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Pointless, Scizor offers no compelling reason to use him here)

It's a straight damage-dealer with no frills, but both attacks are pretty efficient for the Energy costs. It can hang in there a little longer if you use Special Metal Energy, but this version is obviously inferior to the Prime version.

However, in Limited, this card is a winner due to its hard-hitting attacks.

90 HP is okay for a stage one, weakness to is okay, not too much fire is played except for a few techs against Dialga G lv X. The resistance to Gengar is good, better than nothing, and retreat cost of is average.
The attcks themselves are priced very well, it is a very efficient attacker. However, this card is only capable of being a straight attacker, no pokebodies or additional effects. For it does 50, and for it does 80. Basically, this card trades additional effects for straight, efficient damage. It can be used with special metal energies to be around longer, but it can't really be used with other attacking support. The first attack is 2 energy for 50 is still outclassed by Bibarel SF, but Bibarel requires both energies of a certain color and Scizor can have a bit more flexibility, using a , and Scizor can still use another attack. Partners for this card im not completely sure, could use Nidoqueen for healing and taking longer to die, can be used with Dialga G lv X to lock out poke-bodies, can use Ampharos PL to lock out powers. If using Ampharos or Dialga G, make sure you do not have cards that will get destroyed by thier effects. These pairs will actually give this card what it lacks, and the deck will have a decent main attacker. I'm not sure what other techs can be used to support this card, it all depends if using Dialga or Amphy, but not both.
