Durant (The Four Ant Brothers)

This is my version of the deck, but I know that almost all Durant deck are the same. I might play deck for the New Mexico state championship Tournament. Help if you guys think it need something. Thanks in advance if anybody help. I took out Cobalion because I didn't need it sometime. If I don't play this, I'll play CMT for STATE.

(POKEMONx5)
4x Durant
1x Rotom

(S/S/Tx45)
1 super rod
1 Alph Lithograph
2 Pokegear
2 Skyarrow Bridge
3 Level Ball
3 Professor Juniper
3 Crushing Hammer
3 Lost Remover
3 Pokemon Catcher
4 Twins
4 Eviolite
4 Junk Arm
4 Pokemon Collector
4 N
4 Revive

(ENERGYx10)
4 Special Metal
6 Basic Metal

STR. it's easy to play. Try to get all four Durant out and use Devour and try to deck ur opponent out

How useful is Skyarrow Bridge really? Sure, its good for getting Rotom out of the active if you start with it, but couldn't that be accomplished with Switch instead? That way you dont give your opponent any help if you catcher one of his basics.

If you are insistent on playing a stadium(which would be OK since Skyarrow is going to be popular anyway), I'd suggest the new promo "Battle City." Can provide you with some drawpower, and your opponent isn't likely to use it as it would just aid in your devouring.

Don't use sky arrow, use battle city. Sure sky arrow helps you but it also helps the opponent. If you use catchers like you should in durant then it makes it easier for the opponent to retreat and burn less energy and resources which is counterproductive to you. Run battle city so you can take out someone else's sky arrow and have a chance to draw more and give the chance to thin their deck more, helping them in retrospect but also helping you.

I'm leaning toward the opinion that Pokemon Center is the better stadium. It would help you survive longer against Chandleure or Zebstrika.

If you have Mewtwo ex try running 1 with a DCE teched in. That way other players that pump only Mewtwo will die as soon as you Twins for it and bam they wont know what hit them. Mewtwo in Durant is a solid play for States!!

If you refer to my thread, I have my decklist along with uses and strategy for all the techs to help you decide on your own deck. One thing I would suggest is Cobalion. I know you say you've tried it, but it really does help. This is especially true with Kyurem who will wreck Durant decks. Hopefully mine can be helpful to you. Feel free to give input on mine also!

Battle city sound nice but I don't have any. I want to take out Skyarrow bridge but I don't know what to put in. I was thinking of putting in a 4th crushing hammer and something else.

You should think about adding a second Rotom. If by bad luck you prize a Durant and Rotom you are in a very bad position. I run this in my Durant deck and found it helped quite a bit.

2 rotoms is rarely useful I have found but it can come in handy

I definetly suggest battle city instead of skyarrow, because alot of the time skyarrow bridge makes your catchers useless against all basic decks like CMT.

SO if you are going to have a stadium definetly try and get a batlle city (you could just buy a mewtwo collection box)

A tech stadium is very useful in this.battle city offers the best option, as you would have to retreat/ switch to heal an active ant with Poke center. 1 battle city should do it.

Try this list and lmk how it works.

4 ant
1 Rotom

4 collector
3 juniper
4 N
3 Twins
1 fsl (if vileplume is big in ur meta) / super rod
1 blackbelt / seeker (testing is mixed on this one)
1 Alph
2 gear
3 eviolite
4 hammer
3 remover
4 catcher
2 level ball
4 junk arm
4 revive
1 battle city(preferred) / Pokemon center

5 metal
4 special metal
2prism (for rotom tricks, if you play seeker over blackbelt, then they should be regular metal)

Hope this helps, and good luck.

i think that maybe you should take out 1 level ball for a dual ball you don't know when you are going to get 2 heads and set up faster than only being abel to get on durant

I'm not sure the exact odds, but I've played over 300 games with Durant since it came out, all with 4 Durant and 1 Rotom, and no techs. Once in all of those games I have prized a Durant and a Rotom at the same time.

I agree. I tried running 2 Rotom and found it a waste. It did help once when I prized both 1 Rotom AND 2 of my Durants, but couldn't save me. By the time I had all of my Durants in play it was too late.

1 Sky Arrow is okay, it rarely needed but a nice option and you can search it with Twins. Add in another Crushing Hammer. Also, take out a Metal or 2 adn add in Prism Energy so you can attack with Rotom if needed.
