HeartGold SoulSilver Trainer Kit Cards Tournament Legal?

Me and my son are new to the game and are wondering if the cards that came in the HeartGold SoulSilver Trainer Kit are legal to play in tournaments... more specifically, we're concerned about the Pokemon Collector 27/30 cards. Thanks for any info!

Yes, it is legal to use cards from that.
