Jason K (Masters Champ) Probably would lol. But if I would have won that I would take a sleeve right next to a sleeve so it does not get much air into it then take a case and drill it then put it into a frame. Instead of Grading it lol.

If it's in the sun anyways, yeah the case doesn't protect from UV as far as I know. Not that I'm pro taking cards out of original cases that is :p

Afaik they were given out in an Lucite Block/Case from Ultra Pro in the past, dunno if they still do that this way though.

CC have had this card up a long, long time. This card was originally owned by Tristan Robinson (Jason K sold his to DPersin, and as far as I know, Dylan LeFavour still has his). It was then purchased by Will-iam who had it graded. From there it went (very briefly) to the Silvestros before moving to CC.

In my opinion, this is an average price for the card, not a great deal, but a lot better than the $8,000 they originally had it listed for.

Thank you very much for the info. I know the Silvestros have some very rare cards. Someone told me that they have a copy of the Base set Pre-release Raichu but I didn't have the chance to ask at nationals. ;( Can anyone confirm that they do have one. Not trying to get of topic.

Well honestly if I had won 1st place at worlds I would rather care about the money and the booster boxes than the card. But the thing I would care about most is the actual crystal trophy.

As far as I know, the Silvestros do not have a Prerelease Raichu.

And that is one of the main reasons that a lot of the Worlds trophy cards hit the market, because the priorities differ greatly between players and collectors. There are tons of players who say "Oh, if I got one I'd never sell" or "I'd never let it go for less than $X" but if they actually win, once those offers start coming in, and theoretical money because real money.....

Everyone has their price. Except maybe Yamato.

Umm. He means Yamato isn't enticed by money when it comes to the cards he has earned.

The Pika trophies were not handed out in cases last year in San Diego. I have a couple of the cases they used to be handed out in, they are essentially a really thick toploader. They are nice, but a PSA holder will ultimately protect it better.
