Do you think a tech terrakion could work in Garchomp?

Alright so i have been thinking for a little while that garchomp is powerful. I know that it 1 shots hydregion. But not darkrai! So I thought terrakion. You already play fightings so why not? Do you think this can work? Maybe 1 or 2? Thanks!

I kind of feel since Terrakion is on the same energy line as Garchomp, then you must run 2. You'll just have to max out on switch.

Terrakion could work fine, cause yeah you already play fighting... The real question is : is it worth it?
You cant OHKO darkrai, but you should be able to 2HKO them for 2 prizes while they 2HKO you for 1.
Terrakion is also a bad starter and might force you to play several more switches that you wouldnt need otherwise. It is also more energy intensive than Garchomp is, and might warrant some spots for energy switch or EXP share so that you could get him powered up in 1 turn.
The only way I could see TheBull being necessary is if Darkrai's are stopping your setup before it gets going. Even then, you need to commit one of your early energy drops to it and that could be costly later.

it would be fine as long as he runs 3 Tool Scrappers.

I just wanted another attacker than OHKO faster. I have just got back into the game after quitting when mewtwo came out. I have always liked terrakion. I mean your playing 3-3 altirai 4 gibite and 3 emolga so its likely to not open terrakion! It will happen tho! Exp share is a deabte. I just feel like tool scrapper will take it out.

What??
2 Terrakion + 4 Switch + 3 Tool Scrapper= 9 cards that could be consistency boosters.
I could see the argument for 2 Tool Scrappers, maybe even three, but terrakion and switch could be other cards that would help you in more than 1 matchup.
Hmmmm???

I havent tested at all to be honest. I just thought of the idea. Do you think that the idea of 2 terrakion could work consistently? I am planning on playing garchomp, i just want to go ahead and figure out what I need for the deck

Terrakion is just a huge weakness vs Darkrai, without Junk Arm, that is. They'll catcher the big guy active and NOT get the KO. You'll need a lot of Switches to counteract this, which I can guarantee won't find its room in an already tight list. Furthermore, even if you do swing for 90, you'll need a Scrapper/PlusPower, which I can guarantee won't find its way into an already tight list, even without Terrakion.

Just 2HKO the guy. Or OHKO Hydreigon.

I mean once they take out garchomps your done. No other attackers what so ever, i just want another option for an attacker.

If you want an actual tech vs Darkrai, in the sense that you want more attackers; try running more Super Rod. Keep the stream of Garchomps going. Or you could try Max Potion, your attackers only require 1 basic energy to attack, so keeping them in play longer would do great as well. Terrakion does not fit the slow of the deck at all though, unfortunately.
