Will Decklists still be required for Battle Roads?
I do not see much of a point to them with no top cut, so will we still be required to fill one out to be able to particpate?

Yes. How can tournament staff verify that players have not changed their deck when random deck check is done if no deck lists are collected?

Since when have there ever been random deck checks at anything lower than a State Championship? I have never heard of such a thing. I would still expect that decklists would be filled out as a disincentive to switching out cards.

Yea but are TO's going to check decklists of the Top 4 finsishers or are they just going to hand our prizes when swiss is over and pack up and go home?

Not all TOs do random deck checks at thier BRs/CCs, some do.

Because TOs have to keep every player's decklists until 2 months after any Premier Event, of course they are still required.

This is just another way of complaining about the loss of top cut isn't it?
Of course decklists will still be needed. Issues about decks being legal do happen during swiss, as the OP very well knows.

C'mon J, this can't be a serious question. Decklists are just part of the tournament process, you bring them in, confirm that your deck is part of the legal format, and then you're allowed to play. Top cut doesn't change anything about that process. Aren't Juniors and Seniors required to use decklists even though they frequently don't have top cuts?

Err, not what I meant. JandPS is sort of implying that decklists are pointless without top cut, but the lower divisions in BRs often don't have top cut (too few players), but are still required to bring in decklists.

I would also expect that at the end of the final round, any players who finish X-1 or better should be asked to IMMEDIATELY give their decks in to be checked. I see that being a thing that happens at all BR events, since most likely you will still get CP for it.

Well, what happens currently when we don't have enough people for a top cut? We still turn in deck lists. Not sure how penalties are handled if errors are found, I'm sure someone could enlighten us.
