Dragons of the Shadows
Hey everyone! I got the idea for a double theme deck from MegaVelocibot's thread and decided to make a double theme deck of my own. However, the concept is based on WarHammer's question about combining different theme decks. So, here we go!
Pokémon (22) 4-3-2 Garchomp 1-1-1 Empoleon 2-2 Floatzel 2-1 Milotic 2-1 Marowak Trainers/Supporters (19) 2 Cilan 3 Cheren 3 Energy Retrieval 3 Energy Search 3 Pokémon Communication 2 Potion 1 Rescue Scarf 2 Full Heal Energy (19) 12 ![]() 6 ![]() 1 Blend WLFM Strategy The deck strategy involves a lot of search power (Dragon Call Gabite, Pokémon Communication, Cilan, Milotic), as well as draw power through Cilan and Empoleon. Marowak and Garchomp are for decent damage output and retreat denial. Overall, it's not a great deck, but it seems good for a mash-up of theme decks. Let me know what you think. |

Isn't the Empoleon line a 4-3-2 like Garchomp? If so, I'd almost rather run the entire G8r line and scrap the Float/Maro line. It gives you more consistency, and Empoleon is a more powerful attacker than either Float or Maro. And Chompy will take care of the evil Electrics if they come around.

In the Shadows theme deck, Empoleon is a 3-2-1 line, as it is not the main evolutionary line. I though about running a 3-2-2 of Garchomp, but 4-3-2 seemed better as a starting point. I might also scrap Marowak for Swanna from DEX. If anyone else has feedback, I would greatly appreciate it.

I like 4-3-2 for Chomp cuz Gabite is a Searcher, and you want those guys out quickquickquick.

Thanks bullados! That's what I was thinking when trying to think of what line to run. If anyone else has any feedback, let me know.
