Is it safe to buy packs online?

I'm looking into buying some HG/SS Undaunted and Unleashed packs from TrollandToad.com because my local card shop doesn't carry them anymore, which sucks. like seriously.

BUT, I have heard some websites do this thing where they can determine the bad packs from a booster box by opening a couple of the first few.

Is that true? Or should I keep looking around.

Is $2.49 a good price considering the age of the set?

Well-known retailers would be a good bet. I wouldn't trust any random person on ebay though, because they likely don't have a big enough reputation for you to know whether they're any good or not. For single packs (not sealed boxes) stick to well-known retailers or ebay sellers with very high and good feedback (over 1000, and over 99% positive).

Depends where.
I suggest before buying, ask here, I mean they SHOULD be okay, but there is the odd seller that isn't good.

Apparently it works through Labor Day. Sadly, for us Canadians there are more non-mail days than the americans.
