Question about Super Scoop Up, BTS, and Claydol GE
Ok here's my question and Bullados told me this strategy worked but I didn't know for sure so I'll go ahead and ask for confirmation:
Say my Opponent is running an SP deck with Team Galactic's Invention G-103 Power Spray, I have Claydol on my bench with Super Scoop Up in my hand with Broken Time-Space out in play. Say I use Cosmic Power with Claydol then my Opponent negates it with Power Spray in response, then I use Super Scoop Up on Claydol getting a heads to bounce it back to my hand. On the same turn I then re-evolve Claydol with Broken Time-Space in play thus would I be able to use Cosmic Power again on the same turn since Claydol came into play "fresh" with Broken Time-Space? Claydol's Poke-Power does say "Once per turn" so I wouldn't be able to do it right? When my Opponent Power Sprayed Claydol with Cosmic Power it was still considered played on that same turn thus refreshing it with Super Scoop Up and Broken Time-Space wouldn't allow you to legally Cosmic Power again on the same turn. Best to just ask rather than answer within your question.
Turns out, Bullados is correct. This would work. Once a Pokemon returns to your hand, it's just a bunch of cards. When you play it again, it's a new Pokemon. The game doesn't keep track to know that those cards used to be the same Pokemon from before. And the "once per turn" restriction is just on that specific Pokemon, not on any cards. Since that Pokemon left play, the new Pokemon, made from the same cards, has not used the Power yet this turn and so if able to. |
