Tournament at Pastimes September 25th

Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen Trade and Battle Day!
Saturday, September 25th
9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Visit your local Toys 'R' Us for two hours of Pokémon fun!

  • First 50 attendees receive a FREE Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen character poster
  • Demo the newest Pokémon TCG expansion, EX FireRed & LeafGreen, and receive a FREE promo card and TCG playmat (while supplies last)
  • Bring your Game Boy Advance and your FireRed or LeafGreen video game and trade for one of your favorite Pokémon
  • Trade and battle with other Pokémon fans!

So thats whats going on at toys r us, there will be a tournament at pastimes following a lunch break from toys r us. Details still to be worked out. It will be a E-on constructed. That means only RS-Leaf Green. Cards from tournament packs will also be legal. I will figure out the cost and what kind of prizes would be good. Let you know in a week or so.

my guess is that the Pastimes tournament times are the same as all the other times...

11:00- Registration
12:00- Game time

as usual with Pastimes, attendance based. Probably a little less than 2 boosters per person entering (which, IMO, is a little low...)

Dont complain about the prizes. If each person pays $5 and each pack cost 3.59 thats let me see oh about $7.18 so your getting a good deal for that. Where do you think these packs come from anyways? Right now im looking at a 12:30 noon start. We will play swiss rounds until a clear winner is decided and then give prizes. The cost will be between $5-6 depending on what we can get for the difference. Do you guys want just packs as prizes (tell me what sets) and also do you want any theme decks as prizes? Let me know.

I've played in regular tourneys, $5, 5 players, prize payout of 13 total (might've been 15). I got 5 boosters for getting first there, and everybody left with at least 2 packs. This prize payout was from DGL. M45 also agreed with that prize payout.

The only time I've ever seen Pastimes give out 13-15 prizes in boosters was that one time we had bout 9 ppl in the tourney.

The thing is Pastimes gets all boosters they sell via the prereleases, and the prerelease product is sold to PTOs at rougly the same price, so really there is no cashing in/losing out on it.

League you ask?

We'll try and push for league on the 19th or whatever day that is, and then definately on the 25th!

The official name I belive is Eon, which kind of fits in with the whole Eon ticket thing. But we all still call it modified.
