Gathering Ground Buylist along with question answering
Hello,
Here is just a brief rundown of the bulk prices we will be paying at 2009 Nats.. Also we buy any and all cards for Pokemon - NO collection is too Large or too Small. If the cards you have are not listed below we still buy them on a individual basis.. We need everything from Basic through Rising Rivals, Promos, ETC. Do not worry about needing to have a box for your collection you sell to us .. we will supply them upon buying it. This is your chance To Cash out that stuff that has just been sitting around collecting dust. We will be paying CASH for all collections. Also we will have every playable single card at the show for all your last minute needs. We will not bring much of the older stuff. We are local so if there is something you need we can have it for you the next day.. We will have all sorts of odd ball Pokemon items at the Show(plush, board games, toys, supplies, rare old items, etc) We also will have give-a-ways for anyone that comes to see us!!!!!! Bulk Commons/uncommons .02 Bulk Reverse holos .10 ( this include reverse rares) Bulk Rares .05 Bulk Foils from booster packs .25 Bulk Promo .10+( this is for any and all promos atleast 10 cents each and up) Bulk EX's 3.00+ Bulk LV's 3.00+ Just so everyone knows we want to buy cards and want to make sure when you are selling us cards you feel comfortable with selling them ... Everyone has a different idea of what their cards are "worth". We base our buylist on what they are worth to us. In doing so we have to take into consideration MANY factors such as what we can sell them for, man hours to organize, storage, how long we will have to sit on them, etc. If for ANY reason you feel like we did not offer you enough, that is perfectly OK and we ask that you please either counteroffer or not sell them to us. That is always your right. I understand we are categorized as a bigger vendor but our reputation is very important to us and we are not out to take advantage of anyone ... so you can put any worries you might have had about us being the only vendor to rest. Our goal in buying every collection is to be fair for both parties involved. We want everyone to have a great show and experience at '09 Nats! If you have any other question please send me an email to Jason@gatheringground.com Thanks, Jason |

He's talking cards of the Rare-Holographic rarity that aren't Reverse Holographic.

This explanation should avoid said gripes PokeDaddy...
I think this needs to be quoted for emphasis. Quote:
Personally, I'm GLAD to get even .01 cent for one of my thousands of boxed away commons/uncommons! So, this thread is GREAT news for me. I'm also thrilled to see that GatherGround actually read the responses from a "what would like us to sell at Nats" thread and made some of our suggestions available (i.e. "Please have 'last-minute' singles available in case we need to fix a deck on the spot") |

I would sincerely like to thank you, Jason. I'm sure we help your business, but you help us Pokemon faithful, which is really cool, and I appreciate that very much!!!

Are the prices on your website indicative of the prices you will be selling singles, boosters, and bulk cards at Nationals?

The prices will be the same as our retail store.. We will not be price gouging - you can expect prices to remain somewhere around Ebay prices, which we believe is the fair market value.
As far as buying goes, the above buylist is a MINIMUM for BULK cards - we will of course be buying the better stuff for more. Also as stated, with anything you sell - make sure you are 100% happy with the deal before selling. Thanks, Jason Gathering Ground |

Let me make sure I understand this right. You will pay .02 per common/uncommon, all the way back to base set? Theres nothing hidden there, like its .02 per stack of 10 or something?

When I have sold to the ground in the past, the pop cards have counted as commons/uncommons and rares, not promos, due to their actually having rarity symbols.
Jason may have a different answer, but that is what he had done for me in the past. .10 each for Pop commons would be unbelievable. Vince |

[edit]mozz: We have a buyers forum if you wish to start your own topic.
This is associated with the Nationals event and so we're allowing it here as a topic of general interest to the membership. You know better than to jump into someone elses trade/buy/sell thread. -Pop Last edited by PokePop; 06/11/2009 at 07:11 AM. |

Just to let people know that i have been in contact with Pokemon and buying and selling of single cards in side the hall will be prohibited and will be enforced this year. Trading is always encouraged but buying and selling of cards other than by us if prohibited. Just to give you a head-up.

![]() I was half joking and half questioning how it's okay for you to rock up into any post and advertise your services that directly compete against a few of us on this board that have to follow the rules. I will get another infraction point from an excited mod who "caught Mozz again" On topic, if you even come to the UK I have about half a million commons/uncommons you are welcome too |

i have a question, are we allowed to put cards in stack of 50 or 100 and then bind them with rubber bands? it would seem easier than just counting through each card individually.
