Sealeo's sheer cold

Sealeo's Sheer Cold attack says "Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon can't attack during your opponent's next turn." So, if my opponent does this during their turn and flips heads, then I retreat my active pokemon, will the effect of sheer cold continue with the new pokemon, or does it follow the one pokemon i retreated?

Attack effects are placed on the attacked Pokemon. They go away if that Pokemon is no longer active.
So if you retreat, the effect is gone.
