Pokedex with Pokenav- Practical?

With all drawing cards changed to supporters in current format. I've been trying to speed things up with various cards. One, obvious, card "combo" that i saw a long time ago is Pokedex with Pokenav. In my opinion, this runs pretty well with decks with EXes because now, with Professor Elm's Training's departure and unlikeliness to come back, this method becomes the only way to tutor for EX cards other than evolutions. So basically you dex, revealing top 6 after shuffling. Then use nav to grab one of the top 3 from ur deck, probably an EX if ur using one. And if top 6 is really bad, you can Oak for 5 fresh card. Since those 2 are both non supporter, it maxmizes the efficiency for Supporters. In addition, it keeps your hand size at a reasonable level to maximize effectiveness from Steven's Advice and Pro. Oak's Rearch while offers protection from "Bad News" and Gardevoir EX's attack. I am going to test a bit, but want to see what everyone thinks

It probably doesn't work that well because the odds of getting an ex on those top 6 cards aren't in your favor. That kinda wrecks the combo. You might as well draw those cards and just increase your chance of drawing one later on.

Although this system does make an effective system if you have both cards in your hand, most often you won't have both at the same time, and one without the other isn't all that good. The other thing is the space it takes up in the deck. To fit 4-4 Dex-Nav would be a big portion of 60 cards, one that most decks can't manage. What I would do to avoid any big-hand problems would be to play 3-4 POR, I guess. I think that the Dex-Nav combo is impractical.

I actually tried that combo in a deck I had. Two things:

First a thing I didn't like was that with Pokenav you have to show your opponent you card, and if you get an EX then they will know what you are going for. Not really a big problem since you will most likely use the EX once you get it. (my case I was getting Articuno EX for a surprise attack later, so I put it as my top card and took a different one)

Second, Pokedex Handy 909 works well with other cards already. Pokedex Handy with Steven's/TV Reporter is probably the best, and then there is also Pokedex with Oak which is REALLY handy if the top 6 cards are not useful to you then.

I say Pokenav is the next best combo with it, but if you have room in your deck I would say add more Stevens/Oaks/TV Reporters. If you still have extra room then yeah go ahead and add it in. Reason is because all the other cards work well on their own, and can be used without pokedex. Pokenav can be used alone as well but chances are if you need a card the probability of it being in the next 3 cards isn't that high. Not to mention if all 3 cards are trainers, you don't get anything. =/

Psymaster: anyone with a head knows drawing is good. Thats why they made them supporters =\...im here to exploit new possibilities....not to discuss the obvious supporter that gives you mulitple cards concurrently....=\

PH909+PNAV works alright, but for the cost of two cards, your getting one card from the top 6 cards of your deck. Why not just use a supporter and get 3-6 of the top cards of your deck? I feel if you need more drawing than the usual supporter each turn, then you might want to look into searching cards like celio's network and pidgeot so that you don't need to draw to get the card you need.
