First!!
In competitive playing this isn't that great. Giga Impact is just a waste of time and its power won't help much either. It also has a nasty retreat cost and not so good weakness. 2/10 |

the only thing really hurting it is skutank g and roserade SP to stop its power. other than that if you have a good deck built he should be able to hit for 120 over and over again. if you can afford to put in some status healers and/or know your metagame well it should do good.
overall playabilty a 7/10, the right deck and player a 9/10. |

Ah, Electivire from DP, the granddaddy of them all (which his stats reflect). 100 HP is decent for a Stage 1, +20 Weakness to
hurts (coincidentally what made him almost unplayable due to Lucario popularity way back), -20 Resistance to is better than none, and colorless:colorless to Retreat is expensive. Intense Voltage is nice that you can move a :lightning Energy from 1 of your Pokemon to Electivire, but the big con is that you have to have an Elekid under Electivire; meaning you have to deal with bad baby Pokemon, and having to "evolve" them into Electabuzz, all of which basically makes Electivire a Stage 2 Pokemon for the most part (which sucks). Giga Impact is overprice at 60 for lightning colorless, and the incentive to discard all :lightning Energy on Electivire to deal another 60 (120 total) is lame. Granted, with SW Electivire support this could work (since at least the SW one didn't have to evolve from a Baby), but the deck was (and still is sorta) slow to set up, which ultimately dooms it.Modified - 5/10 (Would be so much better if it didn't have to basically evolve all the way from Elekid to use its Poke-Power) Limited - 1/10 (Bad, as you're even more unlikely to use the Power, and Giga Impact is overpriced) Unlimited - 1/10 (Never gonna pull it off) |

Just like most cards in DP, this card has been forgotten, and taking into account its Power and attacks, it is not surprising. Then again, I don't think both Electivire DP and Electivire SW are competitively-viable at the moment.
HP of 100 is nice for a Stage 1, weakness to Fighting is bad now as it was then when Mario is a good competitive deck, resistance to Metal is better than nothing, and retreat cost of 3 is horrible. Intense Voltage has a nice effect, especially if combo'd with Electivire SW. However, the catch is Electivire should be evolved from Elekid. If you go by that route, pretty much you are left with a Stage 2 that has 100 HP and has a bad attack. You are better off using Magnezone LV. X's power to move energies around (and Electivire SW is a much better partner to Magnezone, anyway). Giga Impact is underpowered compared to other attacks of Lightning Pokemon. It has the potential to do 120 but discarding 3 energies is a bad side effect. Upper Energy is not compatible with it, as well. If you want that kind of attack, just use Magnezone (Promo)'s Metallic Bolt- at least that attack is compatible with Upper Energy (and DCE when we get it). Modified- 3/10 (thoroughly outclassed by Magnezone in every way) Limited- 2/10 (good luck powering it up and recharging it) |

This is the Electivire that should be combo'd with Electivire LV.X as it needs to be able to do something instead of just taking hits. Sadly, there is no real fast way to get the NRG on him without Vire SW but when you got it going, you are looking at a consistent 120 damage per turn. Sadly outclassed by Magnezone and multiple other cards. 5/10
