If I wish to remove a special condition or some type of effect such as doom news, may I play 2 switch cards in a row, by switching an active Pokemon to the bench to remove effect and then out into active position again with no effect remaining on it? Likewise, may I retreat an active Pokemon to the bench to remedy an effect, then play 1 switch card to make it active again now with no effect ailing it?

There are some decks that revolve around strategies like that.
