Why put such an awful card as COTD? Now you have to listen to a couple pages full of bashing and complaining.

Its actually not that bad of a card as people are making it out to be.
Because of the presence of Charizard Ar, any fire pokemon will help. This is a fire pokemon and it has a low energy attack. For just 1 fire energy you can burn your opponent. It also has free retreat, which lets your burn, hopefully take 1 hit, and then hide away on the bench and help charizard. Burn is helpful because many pokemon do not burn. Yes Magmortar and Blaziekn pt, can burn on the bench, but who wants a pokemon with high energy requirements, or a stage 2 instead of a stage 1. Another reason Rapidash is good is because other rapidash's are good. You could run 2 or 3 ponytas and then run 3 rapidashs (one of each arceus and one sf). This gives you some sniping ability and some sp tech ability, along with a burn and retreat option. Rapidash's are very flexible and pretty decent. This card isnt the best, but the burn option does work in a charizard deck. 4.5/10 |

90 hp good for a stage 1, good retreat, bad weakness. Both attacks are decent. But this would be impossible to find a place in a deck... virtually.

Wow...this thing is really bad. 1 for 10 with burn isn't very powerful, and 2 for 40 is nearly useless. There are so many better cards in the format that this will probably, really, surely, absolutely, undefiantly never find its way into a tournament-winning deck. 1/10

The fact that this is a CotD offends me. It's so weak.

I use Heatran LV. X and I use PL Blaziken to burn. Then I use Blaziken FB to strike with Vapor Kick while it's X'd. I find no place in my deck for this wimpy Rapidash. The other 1 is by far better.

Anyway, we have the poorer Rapidash from the Arceus set. HP of 90 is average for a Stage 1, weakness to water is bad and expected, and no retreat cost is excellent. Unfortunately, the retreat cost is the only good thing about this card and still not enough to redeem it of its other bad attributes. It has two average attacks- Searing Flame does 10 and Burn for 1 Fire and Flare that does a little bit more damage than Base Set Growlithe's. It doesn't have anything unique for it to stand out unlike the other Arceus Rapidash. Sadly, the only thing this card is good for is in the binder. In can be included in a Charizard AR deck but it would be better to include a Fire type that at least can be useful on the bench. Modified- 1/10 (IMO Primeape GE is better suited for being the CoTD and this Rapidash should be the Bonus Card) Limited- 6/10 (has cheap attacks and Burn can help snag KOs) |

This card is broken!!!!!!!!!!1one!!!11eleven
It does a wonderful 40 for two, like Claydol. It also does 10 for 1 energy, and it burns as well, something that no other staple can do, so its good right. It just has to be. ...If you don't get the sarcasm in this post, then >.< |

Running a bit late today, yesterday's CotD was Rapidash from AR...yeah. Now to be fare, if you want to talk about bad cards you can compare this to many of the stuff they fed us in the past, but at the same time, it makes you wonder why they still waste cardboard printing this stuff...statwise, 90 HP is average for a Stage 1, +20 Weakness to
hurts, no Resistance is common, and no Retreat Cost is great. Searing Flame is decent enough for , letting you deal 10 and Burn. Flare is also priced ok at ![]() for 40. But yeah...nothing really warrants the use of this card competitively.Modified - 1/10 (Worthless here, there are so many better Pokemon to use) Limited - 7/10 (I can see it being useful here with its cheap attacks) Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here of course, makes a rather poor coaster also) |
