Rock Reaction question answered twice, but I would like a clarification please

Quote:
Rock Reaction
When you attach a Energy Card from your hand to Dome Fossil (excluding effects of attacks or Poke-Powers), search your deck for a card...
Quote:
Multi Energy and other
...While in play, Multi Energy provides every type of Energy but provides only 1 Energy at a time. ...
It was said that if you attached Multi (and by proxy Rainbow and others which provide all Energy) Energy to it, that Rock Reaction would activate.

It has been ruled MANY times that Multi Energy and the like do not provide every Energy until after they are attached. You can't search them in your deck, discard, or hand when searching for a specific type of Energy as they are considered Colorless Energy when not in play.

If these Energy don't provide Fighting Energy in the hand and before they are attached to Dome Fossil, how do they activate the Poke Body? E.G. You are attaching a Colorless Energy from your hand which only after it has been attached does it provide every Energy type.

*Edit* Thanks! That helped me to understand this interaction and cleared up the haze as to why it is ruled that way!

The instant that it is attached to Dome Fossil, it is providing energy.
The card can't see it until it is attached.
So, at the instant that the Dome is seeing it, it is providing the right color energy.

There are many rulings about Rainbow like energy triggering effect that require a specific energy to be attached.
